NYU Rory Meyers College of Nursing Junior Laboratory Associate (Dillon Lab) in New York, New York
The Lab for the Developing Mind (https://www.labdevelopingmind.com/, PI: Moira Dillon) in the Department of Psychology at New York University is seeking a full-time Junior Research Associate to begin summer 2022. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until May 1.
Areas of investigation in the lab include: early emerging knowledge about objects, people, and places; symbolic and abstract thought and reasoning in the domains of geometry and logic; pictorial and linguistic production; and the relation between human and machine intelligence. The lab uses behavioral and computational approaches and tests participants ranging in age from infants through adults. The Department of Psychology at New York University offers a rich intellectual community in the developmental and cognitive sciences.
Responsibilities for the position include experimental design and stimuli development, running behavioral experiments with infants, children, and adults (in the lab, in museums, and/or online), participant recruitment, management and analysis of data, and lab administration (e.g., managing IRB protocols and training other lab members).
