Citigroup Junior Structuring Analyst/Assistant Vice President - Non Agency RMBS in New York, New York
Citigroup’s Residential Securitization and Advisory (RSA) team, a unit within Global Spread Products, is seeking to add an Analyst/Assistant Vice President to its Structuring team. The broader RSA business provides securitization and advisory services to Citi’s institutional clients and touches securitizations collateralized or referencing agency and non-agency mortgage assets including seasoned performing, re-performing and non-performing loans, new origination prime and near prime loans, HELOC and closed end second mortgages, mortgage servicing rights, mortgage insurance policies, small balance commercial (SBC) loans and single family rental and I-Buyer (SF) assets. Existing clients are well capitalized non-bank originators, hedge funds, private equity funds, servicers, mortgage insurance companies, single family operators and REITs with expertise in originating, aggregating, and/or managing residential mortgage assets and credit risk.
Review and analyze collateral tapes, run stratifications and ad-hoc analysis
Structure securitizations off of various asset classes including non-agency mortgages, single family rentals, small balance commercial loans and I-Buyer assets
Build and model cashflow and structure with Intex Deal Maker
Review term sheets and offering memorandum to ensure the documents are aligned with the model
Collaborate with internal banking team, trading desk and analytics for deal execution
Work with various external counterparties such as issuers, rating agencies, accountants, lawyers and data and analytical vendors
Analyze current and historical transactions for market trends, structural features, and other deal mechanics
Assist in preparing securitization pitches for existing and prospective issuer clients
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, or quantitative finance
Proficiency in Excel
Programming skills for data analysis (Python/VBA/SQL, etc.)
Excellent attention to detail and a strong work ethic
Strong written and oral communication skills
Experience with Intex and Bloomberg preferred
Experience with cashflow modeling preferred
Experience with securitized product structures and knowledge in mortgages preferred
