We are seeking A Landscape Architecture Intern who will work on New York City Parks and infrastructure design projects at our office in Lower Manhattan. The internship will be a paid part-time internship with the successful candidate working 29 hours/week over a 4-day schedule.
The Landscape Architecture Intern will engage in a variety of activities that could involve some or all of the following:
Preparation of Construction Drawings - Landscape Architecture Design Plans and Details
Grading, drainage, pavement plans
Site and Tree Protection Plans and Planting Plans and Details
Producing illustrative renderings
Preparation of estimates of quantities and Cost Estimating
Assisting with the writing of technical specifications
Field work for data gathering, surveys and construction observations
Enrolled in a Landscape Architecture Degree Program at an accredited college
Knowledge of CAD (a plus)
Knowledge of Rhino, Sketchup, Lumion, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign (a plus)
Knowledge of Word, Excel and Powerpoint, (a plus)
Detailed oriented, excellent writing skills, critical thinking
