Li-Lac Chocolates Lead Sales Associate in New York, New York

The Store Lead is responsible for ensuring every customer has an outstanding shopping experience by providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a well-merchandised store. As part of a team, supports the fulfillment and shipping process. Li-Lac employees are passionate about chocolate, friendly and enjoy working in a fast paced, team-oriented retail environment.

Specific Responsibilities include:

• Customer Service: Ensure every customer has an outstanding shopping experience
o Greet every customer with a smile and build rapport
o Ensure every customer receives your full attention
o Go the extra mile to ensure each customer has a great shopping experience (in store and by phone)
o Be able to handle multiple phone calls and multi-tasking, etc.

• Store Operations: Follow the store operating procedures to ensure operational efficiency
o Open and close the store. Must be punctual for opening to store.
o Keep the store well stocked by pulling products from inventory as necessary
o Maintain a clean workstation with an ample supply of bags, boxes, labels, etc.
o Ring up customer transactions, handle special orders, phone orders, etc.
o Complete daily opening & closing reports, maintain change in the cash register

• Merchandising: Maintain ‘full & abundant’ store and chocolate cases
o Fill the candy case each morning to ensure the display is full, well presented, and clean
o Keep shelves fully stocked with clean displays, priced, organized and well presented
o Ensure all chocolate is rotated (FIFO) and meets our freshness standard, or remove from inventory
o Maintain seasonally appropriate displays
o Ensure cleanliness standards are maintained following the daily maintenance checklist

• Chocolate Knowledge: Become knowledgeable about our products, ingredients, and key selling points
o Know our company’s history and tell the ‘Li-Lac’ story to customers
o Become knowledge about our products, including ingredients and allergen information
o Be familiar with the items on our website, special order items, and special services

• Product Fulfillment: Ensure all orders are sent out in full and on time
o Print orders and gift notes
o Picks and packs customer orders and prepare packages for shipping, or store pick-up
o Ensures all packaging meet professional packing standards for appearance and safety

• Other Duties:
o Answer the phone & process phone orders in a timely manner
o Pick & fills order, packs shipping boxes as needed/directed
o Training new/seasonal staff
o Must work weekends
