Description/Job Summary The Legal Recruiting Marketing Coordinator is responsible for managing all marketing efforts for the Legal Recruiting Department including development of strategies for fall recruiting and 1L outreach, managing and updating marketing materials and website information, preparing interviewers and hospitality suites for campus interviews. The Coordinator will also assist with summer program planning, as well as support the Legal Personnel and Professional Development team as needed. Responsibilities/Duties * Partner with Recruiting Director and Hiring Partners to develop marketing strategies for fall recruiting and 1L outreach * Develop and manage all written recruiting materials used for external and internal use * Manage and maintain recruiting section of SimpsonThacher.com including SummerNet and CandidateNet, as well as internal Recruiting intranet site and calendar * Liaise closely with Business Development in the development and implementation of written materials, website management and event invitations * Maintain and prepare firm information for campus interviewers * Travel to various law schools to assist with on-site logistics as needed * Assist with candidate interview scheduling calls as needed * Assist with in-office attorney interview scheduling and matching candidate requests * Manage all details for hospitality suites during campus interviews * Develop and implement a communication plan for all candidates invited for interviews and with offers * Assist in coordination of recruiting offer dinners and callback receptions * Plan all aspects of annual 1L summer reception targeting top ranked schools * Assist in planning and execution of summer associate orientation program * Supervise seasonal hires to assist with recruiting activities * Prepare and manage all survey responses in which the firm participates * Compile feedback from incoming and outgoing summer associates regarding marketing and recruiting efforts * Research and be cognizant of peer firm information and recruiting trends * Prepare periodic reports for Hiring Partners and other senior management * Work closely with Diversity group to keep firm-wide diversity efforts at the forefront * Collaborate on varied projects with Legal Personnel department as needed * Perform other duties as assigned Required Skills * 2-4 years of experience in a recruiting, personnel and/or marketing enviornment * Strong computer skills, including web-based research; fluency with, MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel * Ability to effectively present information verbally and in writing * Ability to build rapport with attorneys and other professional staff * Strong organizational skills with particular attention to detail * Excellent writing skills * Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced professional environment * Ability to work in a team atmosphere * Client-focused with a personable and outgoing demeanor * Must be flexible to adjust hours to meet departmental needs Preferred Skills * Legal recruiting in a law firm * 2-4 years related experience in marketing or business communications * Demonstrated supervisory experience Required Education * Bachelor's degree required Preferred Education * Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications or equivalent
