This position is responsible for working with the Director of Global Consumer Engagement to drive strategic Consumer Engagement practice and leadership within the Makeup Category .
The Manager position works closely with their counterparts in Consumer Marketing including Online, Social, Retail, Global Communications, as well as Cross-Functional teams such as Product Marketing, Education, Creative, Legal, Global Affiliates, Corporate Marketing, and external agencies on the development of consumer-centric, digital first, 360 marketing programs that contribute to the achievement of strategic brand marketing objectives. The team is looking for a passionate Digital content and media-savvy expert, excellent in execution and with a can-do attitude that is keen to drive and deliver best-in-class digital marketing programs for the total makeup category.
Day-to-day scope of work and focused responsibilities include:
- Manage Digital, Consumer-centric 360 Makeup Marketing Campaigns & Go-To-Market Seasonal Planning
Manage the following tasks in partnership with the Director of Global Consumer Engagement and Cross-teams to support key Makeup product launches:
Co-create 360 campaign creative briefs with focus on consumer-first strategy and content direction for cross channel activation across seasonal campaigns
Own and create campaign asset lists (in support of full 360 channel needs) and strategic go-to-market activation strategies that recruit new consumers, amplify brand reach, engage, and retain consumers across digital channels and touchpoints – to drive innovative and 360 campaign experiences
Develop copy briefs in support of go-to-market content plan to ensure delivering on the campaign product and benefit message priorities translated into consumer-centric storytelling
Review campaign assets and provide action-oriented feedback that is based on the brief, GTM strategy and asset check list to ensure digital and consumer relevancy
Co-create seasonal campaign launch books, including launch guidelines (i.e., content overview and activation across full-funnel, go-to-market channel activations, paid media guidelines, etc.) alongside Product Marketing managers and Consumer Marketing teams
Develop final campaign asset showcase materials and present to regional teams for activation implementation
Co-Create consumer Q&A materials for new and existing campaign product launches with consumer-facing messaging leveraged across Social, Online, etc.
Work closely with cross-teams (i.e., Social, Online) on global calendarization of Makeup campaign launches, including new launch innovation, repromoted of existing products and evergreen / always-on makeup priorities.
Work closely with Director, Global Consumer Engagement to develop post-campaign analysis across high and medium program launches
Manage integrated marketing planning and process efforts end-to-end
Drive collaborative integrated workflow processes with other cross-functional teams (i.e., Product Marketing) and Consumer Marketing leads in support of seasonal campaign planning – including GTM ideation, campaign planning drivers (across owned, earned, and paid tactics), storytelling, etc.
Ensure all digital experiences including Social Media, Online and Retail Experiences are cohesive and compelling
Support Director, Global Consumer Engagement to drive cross-team makeup planning brainstorms, strategic planning discussions and ongoing status meetings
Manage Regional partnership across pre and post campaign launch planning efforts
Collaborate with regional counterparts to ideate and support them with strategic global guidelines for their seasonal launches and localization needs
Partner ongoing with the regional teams to understand and support them in digital 1 st approach and omni-channel positioning
Work closely with regions on post-campaign performance analysis and content implementation
Communicate and help lead best practices sharing back to regions and lead markets
Ensure leading on integration of best practices and apply KPI indicators that can impact campaign launch and future content planning to ensure best-in-class execution.
- Agility to Manage Always-on Needs and Quick Response of Emerging Makeup Priorities
Work closely always-on with Product Marketing counterparts to deliver on quick turn action and Makeup attack plans
Develop activation and content plans always-on in response to evolving makeup trends, new innovations, new consumer insights, competitive insights, etc.
Be an advocate always-on for trendspotting in the makeup space and embrace quick agility mindset to be the first to test and learn
Work closely ongoing with our external joint business partners, such as Google, Facebook, etc., to keep pulse on makeup landscape across priority platforms to identify consumer behaviours and trends, makeup trends, etc., with ability to take insight to action for makeup category
- Support in Building Makeup Strategy
Develop all Global Makeup strategies in partnership with Director, Global Consumer Engagement and Product Marketing group
Establish the holistic Consumer Marketing planning fiscal calendars with special focus on Makeup category-- develop and track all Makeup campaign timelines and workback schedules leading up to multiple strategic deliverables
Support Director, Global Consumer Engagement in development of internal makeup strategy presentations to senior leadership and regional partners – including Roundtable help bi-annually, Innovation strategy, etc.
Drive Makeup Strategies to deliver best-in-class Creative, storytelling and go-to-market plans ongoing
Key Qualifications / Skills
Candidate should have 5 years of experience
Bachelor’s degree required
Agency or brand marketing experience is preferred
Paid media and /or past performance marketing experience is preferred
Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
Strong project management skills with the ability to work well across functional teams and managing both quick turn and long lead timelines
Excellent data analytical skills with the ability to evaluate marketing programs
Mandarin speaking nice-to-have and regional in-market experience is preferred
Must-have passion for luxury beauty / makeup / consumer marketing / storytelling
Considers oneself an ‘early adopter’ of digital trends, and has a passion for digital marketing
Understanding of the Digital and Makeup competitive arena to bring new ideas to the table based on competitive review of the Digital marketplace
Needs to thrive in a fast-paced environment, oversee multiple projects. Ability to multi-task to ensure hitting makeup planning milestones across multiple seasons
