RWS Entertainment Group Manager, Contracts in New York, New York
RWS Entertainment Group is currently seeking a Manager, Contracts to work directly with and assist General Counsel to organize, coordinate and carry out legal processes for the organization.
Reporting to the Director, General Counsel, the Manager, Contracts will undertake a variety of legal and administrative duties in support of day-to-day operations.
Role & Responsibilities
Assist Director of Legal Affairs in developing and implementing a companywide tracking system for contract submission and follow up that provides the most accurate and up-to-date information for company stakeholders.
General contract and document coordination including but not limited to NDA’s, releases, COI’s and Invoice Requests.
Coordinate and lead the execution of low to medium complexity contracts (IIR, Advisory Board, Service/Consulting Agreement, Research/University Agreement, MSA, SOW, CME, Speaker, Participant, Human Factors, CDA etc.) Managing roughly 20-40 contracts monthly.
Participate in all contract specific team meetings from inception to completion.
Responsible for contract redline & drafting of low complexity contracts and only involve legal if necessary.
Drive tasks to execution by partnering with all applicable departments to resolve issues swiftly.
Closely monitor contract turnaround times and develop/implement improvement initiatives with Director of Legal Affairs as needed.
Continually suggest and seek innovative and efficient ways to work.
Demonstrate competency in executing responsibilities.
Oversee the company’s contract management system and improve internal legal processes.
Help develop legal strategy aligned with core business initiatives and advise company leadership on legal considerations around strategic business decisions.
Review and proofing a wide range of commercial agreements and optimize the company’s standard forms.
Administrative support including but not limited to calendaring, letter drafting, document proofing, preparing DOC and governmental applications/filings.
Collaborate with other RWS department coordinators.

BS/BA required and/or minimum 3 years of experience. Entertainment experience not required but welcomed.

Must be able to expand knowledge and adapt to an increasingly complex environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
Sound knowledge of various computer software.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, & PowerPoint) and SharePoint daily.
Good time-management skills.

Effective communication skills both oral and written.
Willing to take initiative and work independently.
Organizational skills and strong follow through.
Reliable and personable individual who enjoys working with a range of individuals and puts employee requirements and needs first.
A valid passport for the duration of employment for all travel-related roles. Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of exemption) will be required.

Mobile (in NY/NJ/CT Metro Area): Team members who are pre-approved to regularly perform their job responsibilities remotely up to two (2) days per week, with three (3) days per week operating out of the RWS New York City headquarters.
Salary : Minimum $65,000 annual exempt salary
