Autism Speaks Manager, Corporate Initiatives in New York, New York
Autism Speaks is seeking a Manager, Corporate Initiatives! We are open and flexible to where the candidate resides as long as they are near an airport.
PURPOSE: The purpose of this position is to maximize revenue for Autism Speaks from various corporate, association, civic and partnership opportunities on a national level. This includes providing an advanced level of service and support for cause-related marketing opportunities, point-of-sale fundraisers, event sponsorships, corporate sponsorships and special partnerships.
Effectively manage the execution of most, if not all, aspects of implementing assigned corporate relationships.
Actively assist in the sales process for successful acquisition, retention and growth, achieving high levels of performance in account servicing and stewardship.
Lead cross-functional teams to ensure execution excellence and proper attention to details within the sales support and service function.
Manage the day-to-day execution of Autism Speaks national corporate relationships contracts; including but not limited to: responsiveness to the corporate partners’ needs; successful implementation of the supported project, program or promotion; issue management and resolution; and tracking and reporting on defined deliverables.
Demonstrating strong consultative selling, outstanding customer service and relationship cultivation skills.
Maximizing the revenue and support from corporate relationships, acquiring, retaining and growing corporate relationships alongside the corporate development team and other cross-functional teams.
Act as an advisor and key collaborator both internally and externally
Familiarize and demonstrate AS’ programs and service offerings, such as corporate or association teams and matching gifts, sponsorships, in-kind donations, workplace giving, etc. via telephone and in person meetings
Assist in the development of sales tools and marketing materials for corporate and association acquisition, retention and growth
Manage corporate initiatives web pages and forms, including incoming e-mails with timely dissemination and/or response accordingly
Assist in maintenance of corporate initiatives contacts, sales tools and materials
Form strong communication and collaboration channels with internal staff and market volunteers to support corporate partner execution, new business acquisition and relationship-building
Assist internal staff with corporate and association sponsorship requests, proposals and presentations
Represent Autism Speaks as member of cross-functional team or individually if necessary
Other duties as assigned

Education: Bachelor’s degree in sales/marketing preferred, or equivalent experience
Experience: 3+ years sales, marketing or non-profit corporate development experience; 5 or more years of professional working experience.
Specialized Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to express key concepts, share ideas and information effectively; ability to create meaningful reports and business correspondence
Ability to organize multiple projects simultaneously, think creatively and maintain flexibility
Strong organizational, interpersonal and customer service skills, with troubleshooting and problem-solving capability
Ability to drive revenue through assistance in managing existing corporate campaigns and new ones
Strong relationship-building skills
Good listening and excellent collaboration skills
Energetic and enthusiastic with professional, diplomatic and positive can-do attitude
Knowledge of sponsorships and partnerships between corporations and not for profit sector
Knowledge of corporate marketplace
Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel), mail merge functions and databases
Travel < 25% (may include weekends and evenings)
