Nestle Manager Customer Account (Starbucks) in New York, New York

The Manager of Customer Account , Nespresso Authorized Brand , will be developing and implementing the Nespresso Authorized Brand commercial strategy for the Nespresso Authorized brands in the US. The person will be the main point of contact of all existing and potential new strategic Retailers, managing and leading the day-to-day interactions, driving Nespresso’s strategic objectives across accounts including stores, online channels with a strong focus on AMZ platform. Responsible for customer facing responsibilities as well as driving activities including, but not limited to, promotional management, forecasting, merchandising, content optimization and financial budgeting. Working in conjunction with cross functional teams both internal and external. A seasoned professional acting as the team lead when the manager is not around.
A Day in the Life:
Establish the Sales Strategy and Manage Relationships with Key Accounts
Implementation and development of Key Accounts growth strategy and recommend actions to meet goals.
Actively participate in distribution strategy (prospect, selection, evaluation according to Nespresso Strategic Plan)
Elaborate and implement Key Account plans and ensure main stakeholders are aligned to them
Establish a competitive set / risk management, using market Insight competition & shopper insight
Build strong relationship with existing and new accounts as well as strong performance mindset, nurture positive and efficient long-term relationship all levels.
Negotiate with the Key Account the necessary actions and activities to establish Nespresso Authorized Brands as category leader
AMZ Account Management:
Manage yearly NAB margin negotiation with AMZ
Ensure alignment on the margin negotiation with Nespresso AMZ Team
Manage consumption driving activities across the platform
Design, manage and execute promos across the platform
Negotiate and secure merch packages with AMZ. - Catalog, PDP, and Brand Store Management
Support AMZ Specialist for item maintenance, content enhancements and PDP monitoring
Track Gray Market activities and key competitors in conjunction with Analytics team
Define action plan to address / reduce the Gray Market or anything that jeopardize brand integrity and sales
Lead key account meetings and presentations, T2T, JBP & MBR with AMZ
Lead new item launches with seeding reviews (Vine)
Provide internal concerned stakeholders (NCP, GAAT) with all pertinent info including: National Promo details, changes in assortment, promo / activation plans.
Andon Cords - Work with AMZ Specialist as needed to address all Andon Cords.
Business Planning & Financial Budgeting / Reconciliation
Attend and represent NAB B2C during cross functional meetings providing the organization the necessary account info and updates
Update Financial and Budget Reports - Investments and Forecasts
In conjunction with AMZ B2C team, attend and represent Nespresso in key Nestle GAAT (Global AMZ Acceleration Team) meetings and workshops
Manage Agency Partnerships - Assist in providing key agencies with data and insights to better support AMZ retail. i.e. Merkle and Stackline. Attend weekly calls as needed.
Winning Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in a business-related field, Marketing/Digital Marketing, Finance, Economics. MBA a plus.
5+ years retail, CPG, wholesale, or DTC work experience. –
2+ years’ experience working for or supporting AMZ (REQUIRED).
Former Amazon.com SVS / AVS or buyer (PREFERRED). 2+ years working in AMZ Vendor Central (REQUIRED).
1+ years of experience supporting "other ecommerce" business whether Direct Channels, Brick & Mortar.com or Pure Players (PLUS).
Experience in Strategic Planning required. Securing direct manager alignment and validation across multiple cross-functional business units plus external stakeholders.
Financial knowledge - Understating of AMZ P&L and vendor / brand financials.
Strong Project Management skills. Demonstrates ability to work under pressure, managing several projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
Strong Analytical skills - Ability to work with numbers: generate reports and statistical data, ability to interpret that data and in turn identify problems, opportunities, trends and develop solutions required.
Strong Technical skills - Ability to fluently navigate within customer portals / dashboards as well as internal platforms.
