Position Summary:
SiriusXM Pandora's Experiential Mission is to create the most innovative, engaging and culturally relevant LIVE and virtual events that turn the sound on for music fans - driving incremental ad revenue, brand love and loyalty for Pandora and its advertisers. This Manager role will be within the Partnerships & Experiential team. We are looking for a seasoned experiential pro with expertise in all event types. It's critical that you understand SiriusXM Pandora's marketing objectives and can translate those into events that will foster thought leadership, drive industry relationships, revenue and infuse the power of music. This position requires a curious, self-motivated individual that is passionate about music and pop-culture, and has solid event production experience in technology and music events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, project, manage and execute Pandora events, including consumer IRL and virtual events, artist/client hospitality, B2B, and custom branded events
Assist immediate experiential team to ensure all event-related details are managed and on budget
Hire and vet all venues, vendors and producers for the event
Concept and create all signage, lighting, event flow, ROS, SOWs for partners, staging, hospitality, client activations, premiums, F&B, staging, sound production
Manage assigned custom client events including the budget
Work cross-functionally with members of Sales, Finance, Legal, Brand Marketing, PR, and Design Teams on event project management
Work directly with national sales team and Sales Development teams on custom event pitches and sold event campaigns
Deliver exceptional consumer and brand experiences, through outstanding organizational skills, communication and eye for detail
Manage event production and activation vendors
Build the Partnership and Experiential team's presence while balancing SiriusXM and Pandora brands at festivals, industry events, showcases, parties, and all other affiliated events
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
At least 5+ years experience in event planning and execution
Deep knowledge of the experiential landscape and cutting-edge consumer experiences
In-depth understanding of the music industry and a strong grasp on the advertising industry
Requirements and General Skills:
Willing to travel up to 60% and in close proximity to a major airport is beneficial.
Strong negotiating skills and basic contract legal items/terms
Manage and maintain event P&Ls.
Deep rolodex of event vendors and great working relationships.
Good public speaking and presentation skills.
Interpersonal skills and ability to interact and work with staff at all levels.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Ability to pay attention to details and be organized.
Ability to project professionalism over the phone and in person.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to "internal client" and customer service principles.
Willingness to take initiative and to follow through on projects.
Creative writing ability.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Must have legal right to work in the U.S.
Technical Skills:
Exceptional computer skills - required fluency in all Microsoft applications, especially Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, and Excel
Experience producing or working on a virtual event in some capacity
