Manager, Fabric R&D, Wovens

POSITION SUMMARY:

Individual will be responsible for managing the overall process of wovens development innovating new and seasonal fabrics that meet the brand aesthetic vision while balancing cost, quality and calendar adherence. Individual will be strategic and proactive in sourcing fabrics keeping in mind current company initiatives such as speed to market, sustainability and corporate environmental initiatives.

The purpose is to lead development of woven fabrics with TH brand aesthetic at the right cost using a strategic go forward filter to fulfill the brands needs and strategic goals while ensuring best in quality.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE JOB:

  • Partner with Design, Merch and Product Development to develop product within sourcing base.

  • Translate aesthetic into clear, executable direction for mills ensuring seamless execution of product.

  • Drive and manage woven fabric research and development with an emphasis on aesthetics, cost and speed optimization.

  • Assess and mitigate risk at fabric level and propose solutions ensuring calendar adherence.

  • Ensure HUB RM team is clear on seasonal direction & execution of Raw Materials.

  • Oversee management of digital /physical RM libraries

  • Own business relationships with cross-functional partners

  • Troubleshooting issues & escalating when appropriate

  • Drive process improvement.

  • Oversee developments adhering to calendar deliverables.

  • Completing and understanding seasonal analytics to support strategic go forward plans.

  • Maintenance of fabric resource library to support seasonal inspiration and foundational fabrics.

  • Coaching and developing a team.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

Experience:

  • 5-8 years of R&D experience

  • 2+ years' experience leading a team of 1 or more.

  • Exposure to overseas mills and factories

Education:

  • B.S. Textiles degree or extensive hands-on work experience preferred.

Skills:

  • Interpersonal skills: work effectively and build consensus across multiple internal and external cross functional partners.

  • Problem solving and decision making.

  • Strong strategic and analytical skills

  • Awareness of potential testing and/or quality issues

  • Ability to negotiate and build consensus across multiple functions.

  • Presentation skills

Pay Range:$93,700 - $100,000

PVH currently provides base salary ranges for all positions-on job advertisements-in the United States based on local requirements. These ranges are based on what PVH reasonably believes that it will pay an associate for their base salary for said position at the time of the posting. Individual compensation will ultimately be determined based on a variety of relevant factors including but-not limited to qualifications, geographic location and other relevant skills.
