The Wholesale team works with our customers one-on-one, developing professional relationships based on trust and care.
GENERAL FUNCTION
The Manager, Frames Merchandising and Category Management will oversee the frame category for the complete job frames program by contributing to the design of the vendor and brand portfolio strategy, as well as driving its execution and operationalization. Reporting to the Director, Frames Merchandising, this individual will own all functions under the Category Management Umbrella. Cross-functional and external partnerships will be crucial to provide for vendors’ category needs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage vendor relations with existing vendors, including deciding product assortments for the various frames programs and addressing any planning or product inquiries with vendors
Partner with frame vendors to manage launch schedule, product selection and issues
Own assortment across all Frame Programs (Frame Dream, Focus on Frames, PERC Frame Advantage, Galaxy) to ensure all product segments and customers’ needs are met
Review seasonal product needs, obsolete SKU substitutions and address new product needs/ segments, including preparation of brand and SKUN Turn analysis, recommendations for discontinuations, observations on upcoming trends and collection of field feedback to impact assortment in a meaningful way
Refresh calendar management; maintain Refresh calendar and coordinate with vendors to achieve agreed upon timeline
Ensure clean data flow across channels and programs through data set-up coordination with catalog and Vision Web teams
Portal management from an assortment of overview perspective; partner with the Operations team to ensure correct staging, module set-up, maintenance of all product images and planogram creation
Coordinate new brand launch, from assortment selection to brand set-up in systems to brand launch material and field team training
Responsible for training field teams on brands within programs
Lead SmartBook PreView program updates with SmartBook team during refresh timeframe; work cross functionally to support IT inquiries and updates
Assist the Director, Frames Merchandising in preparing for and executing annual trade show events
Support new vendor scouting and product vendor assessment and vetting
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years in product merchandising or buying role within the eyewear industry
Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
Ability to work independently and be autonomous decision marker
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
Detail- and solution-oriented
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Adobe Suite experience
Pay Range: $83,032.16 - $130638.2
Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements.
