About the Role:

This Manager role is focused on the Kits category and reports into the category director. He/she will collaborate closely with cross-functional business partners (Product Development, Supply Chain, Creative, Packaging, Consumer Engagement, CRM, Online, Brand Finance, Global Business Planning, CRM, Regional Marketing, etc.) and is supported by one direct report.

This role encompasses five broad purposes:

  • Guide global category strategy

  • Guide new products launches

  • Drive functional transformation

  • Lead and guide direct report(s)

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Guide global category strategy

  • Own and evolve, as needed, the global category ambition, positioning, and portfolio architecture

  • Work with Director to create a comprehensive product plan to include: strategy, tactics, analytical reporting measures & specific objectives

  • Assist with development of product calendar innovation, working to get us ahead to planning 3-5 years in advance w/ proactive product pipeline

  • Develop with the consumer at the heart, deep understanding and interest to bring the consumer “wants” into the development process

  • Ensure consistent and clear cascade of category strategy to cross-functional business partners

  • Liaise with priority Affiliates, Regions, and Channels for development of exclusives programming to accelerate performance and capture market share

  • Assist with financial management of the Kits category, including COGS analysis

  • Conduct analysis/prepare documents for executive category reviews; present as needed to senior leaders

  • Develop and lead team of one (1)

Guide new product launches

  • Strategically engage business partners to launch products, from ideation to post-launch analysis

  • Identify whitespace opportunities and partner with regional teams to drive regionally-inspired innovation

  • Prepare concept briefs, including consumer insights, competitive positioning, and key communication

  • Set a drive adherence to COG targets, from target to final costs, with support from Brand Finance

  • Guide business partners to execute packaging, artwork, and copy aligning with concept

  • Review sales estimates/forecasts for launches, with support from Global Business Planning group

  • Closely partner with go-to market teams to develop launch strategies

  • Create launch deliverables (marketing bulletins, seasonal presentations, etc.) and present to senior leaders

Drive functional transformation

  • Constructively questions ways of working to drive ongoing improvement

  • Cultivate a mindset relentlessly focused on consumer and aware of competition/channel influences

  • Support and advance use of data and analytics throughout the function to inform decision-making and accomplish goals

Lead and guide direct report(s)

  • Set business priorities and tasks for direct report(s)

  • Cultivate business and leadership capabilities for direct report(s)

  • Support and enable appropriate career path development

  • Strong sense of personal leadership, ownership, and accountability

  • Disruptive, entrepreneurial mindset and collaborative approach (excellent interpersonal skills)


  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Global Beauty Marketing (

  • presently at a Manager level)

  • Must have strong leadership ability with experience in working with people - dynamic, flexible, positive attitude, and team spirit

  • Self-Starter attitude, entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to move quickly in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong project management skills; organization, prioritization, and analytic skills with a proven ability to multi-task and manage complexity

  • Strategic, analytical, and quantitative skills

  • Innovative thinker & strong aesthetic sensibility

  • Brand-building skills with ability to successfully launch and execute innovative marketing programs

  • Experience /knowledge in emerging digital/social media platforms.

  • Energy, motivation, and a dynamic personality that blends well within a team

  • Impeccable attention to detail, able to prioritize, meet deadlines, and be highly organized

  • Strong written, verbal, and virtual communication skills
