Detail oriented Designer capable of handling the production of all packaging mechanicals. The individual will need to be knowledgeable in creating mechanical and type layouts for all primary and secondary packaging needs. At the same time the individual will also assist in the development of seasonal theme concepts, package forms, color palettes, exclusive Travel Retail offerings, as well as custom bag and pattern designs.

The ideal candidate possesses a passion for mechanical work, shows an exceptional eye for detail and works well in a team.


  • Lead and handle all of the production mechanical work related to package design, throughout the entire packaging process.

  • Review all artwork mechanicals for release to print.

  • Create Design Turnover documents and ensure all direction is kept current.

  • Coordinate with other groups in the Creative Department such as Packaging department, Graphics & Digital, Visual Merchandising and Creative Operations to ensure consistency in the execution of programs.

  • Interact with corporate Package Development staff to resolve issues of function, performance, manufacturing, cost and schedule during design development and production phases of projects.

  • Participate in development sessions with Product Marketing and Packaging departments to discuss objectives of upcoming projects. Attend all team meetings and other relevant meetings to present the status of current projects.

  • Create and maintain an organized library of designs, resources and materials, a brand packaging book.

  • Travel as needed to research packaging and materials or approve production.

  • Implementation of new packaging concepts and redesigns.

  • Possess knowledge of packaging forms and materials.


  • 5-7 years of experience in Production Mechanical Packaging layout with an eye for design.

  • Key computer skills: Team Center, Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Self-starter and highly motivated; capable of working independently, yet collaboratively, within an entrepreneurial and team-oriented environment

  • Strong interpersonal skills and creative resolution skills.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Ability to handle numerous tasks in an efficient and timely manner.
