The Manager on the Global Recruiting team will be responsible for the expert management of the strategic design, development and execution of recruiting programs across multiple target graduate campuses for Bain worldwide. You will bring an energy to the team that helps us attract top talent to Bain. Using strong interpersonal skills, you will partner with key stakeholders throughout Bain to the design and execute the recruiting programs.


  • Recruiting:

  • Lead the global campus recruiting programs for Bain’s talent needs including, Consultants, Summer Associates, other positions at targeted business and graduate schools.

  • Develop the plan to attract and identify students on target campuses through programming and recruit engagement.

  • Develop relationships with recruits through interactions and make recommendations to teams regarding priority investment.

  • Activate the Bain alums on campus and the campus alums inside Bain to build relationships and gather information about recruits.

  • Gather market intelligence about competitive dynamics at your portfolio of schools and propose strategies that leverage this information

  • Develop and maintain relationships with career service offices at target schools and develop relationships with competitor counterparts as necessary.

  • Support the local office closing process to ensure offerees accept their offers.

  • Act as main contact for former employees and former Summer Associates on campus.

  • Evaluate success of recruiting season at target schools. Use findings to provide input to recruiting programs and strategy.

  • Develop and manage annual school recruiting budget. Track department expenses and flag issues. Conduct special budget projects as needed.

  • Leadership:

  • Active member of regular team meetings and planning sessions to create and implement the recruiting strategy.

  • Manage performance and professional development for direct reports. This includes hiring, training and integration of new school associates, coordinators and senior coordinators.

  • Hold regular one on one meetings with direct reports to discuss professional development, set goals and to evaluate results. Write and deliver performance reviews

  • Act as leader within the core school team to develop and pilot new ways of recruiting on specific campuses. Continuously share learnings and best practices with all team members in order to streamline processes, solve problems and identify areas of improvement.

  • Communicate with stakeholders across all levels and all offices. Ensure alignment and transparency into all aspects of recruiting programs.

  • Prepare and communicate information for the appropriate audience level including presentations to senior management.

  • Engage with other recruiting Managers and senior members of Global Recruiting to identify and solve team-wide challenges


  • BA/BS degree required plus minimum five years MBA or Campus recruiting experience.

  • Experience managing and coaching direct reports

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, project management, and analytical skills.

  • Knowledge of and passion for marketing related activities, including strategy, design, and execution of marketing plans

  • Flexible work-style to manage multiple priorities, meet tight deadlines and manage last-minute changes.

  • Ability to represent Bain to prospective candidates and interact with senior Bain management and school contacts.

  • Ability to work productively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to deal with highly confidential information in a professional/mature manner

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-time zone, global environment and ability to manage competing demands

  • Strong understanding of sourcing technology, market trends, and talent strategy
