Job Summary

The Online Planner is responsible for management and execution of optimal inventory levels for the Ecommerce distribution centers. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) timely replenishment of saleable and non-saleable products, shipment analysis and order processing.

Job Responsibilities

Order Management & Execution 35%

  • Review shipment forecast based on latest estimate

  • Perform Sales & Inventory analysis for Basic, Launch and Gifts With Purchase

  • Analyze recommended order quantity and place optimal amount for each online distribution center

  • Upload orders into ordering system

  • Perform detailed review of out of stocks

  • Place Opening Order for new doors

  • Review and Analyze fill rates and customer service level

  • Set up New doors

  • Prep/attend seasonal Planning meetings with brand team

  • Provide demand planning order projections

  • Set up virtual SKUs and provide online distribution center direction on receipts

  • Provide direction on kitting for Gifts With Purchase

  • Follow up with distribution center on shortages

Collaboration with Ecommerce and Customer Service 20%

  • Liaise between ecommerce and other customer service groups

  • Follow up and communicate ETA on inventory status and back orders

  • Communicate SKU set up and SRP discrepancies

  • Ensure inventory thresholds are set up correctly

Inventory Management 20%

  • Review and analyze inventory

  • Perform stock transfers as needed

  • Review Inventory discrepancy report

  • Plan, Manage, Communicate, and Execute Returns of Goods on discontinued items, and post holiday items

  • Project RTVs and work with ecommerce teams and GSI on execution and transfer of stock

Launch Management 15%

  • Review launches and release launch POs

Reporting 10%

  • Send out mix of business report to ecommerce team

  • Send out GWP and friends and family reports

  • Pull and send out backorder reports

  • Compile and send out weekly receipt projection for workload planning


  • You have 5 years of relevant experience

  • You have strong math and analytical skills

  • You have a strong understanding of time-phased forecasting and replenishment systems

  • You can analyze and review large amounts of data in Excel

  • You have strong communication skills

  • You are a Self-starter and ability to work independently

  • You have knowledge of inventory models and metrics

  • You understand retail planning and inventory management needs

  • You (ideally) have experience with JustEnough Demand Management software
