Responsibilities:

  • Playing a key role in developing and executing annual marketing plans across all platforms (multi-media, marketing/sales materials, digital, trade shows, education, and promotions)

  • Be a category expert with a deep and broad knowledge of professional insights, competitive landscape, and emergent trends. Maintain a current and active knowledge of all innovation and launch performance for brand and competitors in the US and Canada

  • Work closely with Sales and Education Teams to recommend and execute effective promotional programs

  • Develop and execute new product launch plans and programs

  • Attain established P&L goals and targeted financial KPIs, including sales and profitability

  • Work with the sales team on POG resets to meet established ROI and productivity

  • Work with internal/external design resource to develop sales/product communication

  • Set up and manage new products, promotions, seasonal collections, product updates, artwork changes; record and track all vendor invoices and vendor and distributor programs such as product sampling and couponing

  • Perform market-specific SKU maintenance in internal ERP system

  • Maintain and monitor project timelines and follow up with cross-functional team members on an ongoing basis

  • Prepares marketing presentations and materials for senior management and customer meetings

  • Track brand support spending to achieve budgeted levels

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree is required

  • 3-5 years relevant work experience in marketing or brand management, preferably in the commercial division

  • Balance of analytical, detail-oriented and creative, strategic skills

  • Ability and preserving drive to solve problems, execute with excellence, and get things done

  • Self-starter that is flexible and adaptable to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Ability to work collaboratively across functions, work independently, and take initiative when appropriate

  • Strong project management, multi-tasking, communication, and presentation skills (verbal and written)

  • Must possess team leadership, team commitment, and capacity to influence others

  • Knowledge of the beauty category, cosmetics, nail, or professional category a plus, however not mandatory

  • Strong skills with Excel, Powerpoint

  • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time to customer locations, sales meetings, shows, and other market research venues as required (excluding pandemic environment)
