PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE:

Travel Retail is one of the fastest growing, dynamic, profitable and fast paced channels in the world – Estee Lauder brand is the #1 in TR for prestige beauty worldwide. The Marketing Manager will provide category support in the management of Estee Lauder Travel Retail (TR) Makeup and Fragrance categories, with a specific focus on Make Up. The manager will lead marketing programs and support from a trade marketing standpoint, will manager day to day responsibilities with efficiency and effectiveness while meeting long-term strategic objectives. This position partners closely with Travel Retail regional marketing teams (based in Singapore, London, and Miami), cross-functional teams, as well as Global Marketing leads. Position will support the Marketing Director on all aspects of marketing strategy for the categories. The manager will also lead some cross-category brand initiatives that might be

Business Analysis:

  • Responsible for the development of monthly sellout performance to look for insights, provide recommendations, and initiate change.

  • Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting support.

  • Responsible for updating the Estee Lauder sell-out tracker across all categories

Product Marketing / SKU Management:

  • Cultivate close collaborative relationships with key partners to understand business needs and opportunities and ensure innovations and new marketing campaigns meet regions/markets specific needs.

  • Work on marketing launch and support plans of specific makeup franchises and sub-categories to keep on driving retail sales and delivering on financial top and bottom line targets.

  • Responsible for all Makeup and Fragrance related seasonal pricing list and assortments, line edits, forecast proposals for new items in alignment with Travel Retail regions and Demand Planning Teams.

  • Partner closely with Supply Chain and Demand Planning to improve service levels, understand and manage stock inventory and all aspects of product management to deliver monthly target.

Consumer Engagement & Digital Marketing:

  • Create briefs, proposals and strategies to drive engagement with travelling consumers, in-store and online, and own the relationship with the TR Corporate Digital team in partnership with Director.

  • Have an understanding and/or interest in the digital and social media landscape within the beauty industry. Collaborate with regional marketing and digital teams to build strong

  • integrated communications plans and ideate initiatives that will enhance consumer journey across awareness, engagement, and conversion touch points.

Product Development and Project Management, Travel Retail Exclusive Programs:

TR Exclusive products and sets are a unique offering in the Travel Retail Channel, representing a significant part of our business. They are overseen by the TR Marketing team in collaboration with our TR Set Innovation team.

  • Work closely with the Marketing Director and TR Set Innovation team to lead a 3-year rolling strategy on Makeup and Fragrance Travel Exclusive (TREX) programs, identify portfolio gaps and white space opportunities leading up to the design of new sets

  • Partner with the TR set Innovation Team to ensure programs are delivered on time. Responsible for all Marketing led tasks such as program creation, forecast offering, and other required documents for Packaging and Creative.

Brand Cross-Category Project Management

  • Assist Director in the management of retailer exclusive 360 campaign planning.

  • Lead brand initiatives like GWP (Gift with Purchase), Sampling or new digital initiatives.

  • Lead other cross-category projects that might be initiated based on strategic or tactical needs

Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in trade, product, consumer marketing or relevant commercial fields.

  • College/University degree required, MBA a plus.

  • Degree in Marketing preferred

  • Prestige makeup experience a plus, digital and social media skills a plus

  • Must be self-motivated, proactive, well-organized and rigorous.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to understand complex ideas and processes and translate them into action.

  • Strong Analytical Mindset

  • Must be a team player with strong interpersonal skills.

  • Superior written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Demonstrates agility and adaptability to changing market needs.

  • Must have understanding or interest in international commercial business.

  • Strong skillsets in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
