At AWS, we obsess over our customers, and we see the role of the Senior Manager of Continuous Learning as a critical role to build the future. This is a senior role that will be responsible for leading a team of highly talented Program Managers that are creating and building content and programs that will inspire our field teams to seek out opportunities to learn and be curious every day. In this role you will be responsible for defining the strategy and leading the team. We are looking for a seasoned leader that has managed sales and/or program manager development teams in a fast-paced and innovative environment.
The successful candidate will be a builder who has a passion for developing technical content that will enable our field to earn the right to be called a trusted adviser by our customers. We are seeking a leader who wants to reinvent the way Enablement & Training has been delivered in the past. We want a change agent who can help us deliver consumable, relevant training at the time a learner requires it. Content should be readily available anytime, anywhere and on any device. This role will require strong communication, collaboration and leadership skills to successfully partner with the WW Head of Enablement and Training, along with other senior executives, product SME's, Solution Architect Leadership, Professional Services Leadership, regional embedded enablement teams and vendor partners to define, execute and deliver the most effective, high quality technical training and enablement curriculum.
RESPONSIBILITIES & KEY ATTRIBUTES:
Laser focused on Executing & Delivering Results: Collaborate closely with Enablement & Training Subject Matter experts to design, develop, build & deliver highly technical enablement and training content and experiences in support of our technical customer facing field members. Content should be digestible and easy to consume on a weekly basis to help them build technical skills, customer relationship building skills, business acumen, and leadership skills
An ability to Hire and Develop the Best: Seeking a strong leader who can recruit, hire, and train the best people to support our critically important and growing field community. The successful candidate would build a team of Program Managers who can quickly build a variety of content and publish weekly. The leader will build a diverse team of next-generation of enablement & training talent who want to build the future.
Customer & Stakeholder Obsessed: The successful candidate will be a strong collaborator who can partner closely with a globally diverse set of stakeholders. He/she should be energized about the opportunity to partner closely with their counterparts in our sales, technical, and business development teams to build, create, and manage the training product roadmap for both formal and informal training experiences. The candidate understands deeply that each field role is different, and in order to deliver for our stakeholders, roadmaps must be customized by role. The successful candidate will be a strong partner to our Embedded Enablement teams, who are a critical partner to the WW Enablement & Training organization.

He/She will have a strong desire to build high quality, compelling technical programs to help ensure our field audiences have the skills to successfully engage with our customers at all stages of the deal cycle. He/She will be focused on reinventing the way our team works, by listening closely to the team, and spending time with our field to understand deeply how they are using and consuming content.

Strong Domain Expertise in both the Enablement and Sales Functions: this senior executive has significant experience in designing, building, and leading Enablement programs at scale. He/She also has the relevant Field Sales experience, ideally in the Technology industry. She/He brings a deep understanding of what the Field needs and wants, and combines these commercial skills with his/her enablement expertise to deliver high quality Enablement programs at scale. Proven track record for delivering results in both areas.

Deliver Results - through strong partnership and collaboration. Seeking a candidate who can successfully partner closely with key business stakeholders to understand their business needs, the outcomes they want to achieve, and then will build high quality, strategic Enablement campaigns to deliver those results. This data driven leader will measure his/her results through: 1) Cloud Service Pipeline Growth, 2) Quantity of New Cloud Service Opportunities created, 3) Field usage % of Enablement content.
Ownership- Demonstrate ownership through his/her accountability to deliver measurable improvement on our key KPIs. The successful candidate will be a strong enablement leader who will review data and performance metrics on a regular basis to determine where/how to drive improvement. Leader will constantly be reviewing resource allocation on all key commitments to ensure resources can maintain schedules and deliver on customer/stakeholder promise dates.
Are Right A Lot- the successful candidate will have the ability to demonstrate that he/she has been right a lot about past hires, and past Enablement strategies and programs. He/she will have a track record for recruiting, developing, and growing talent that wants to follow them. The candidate will be confident in their ideas, but will always be seeking out the truth to disconfirm their beliefs by being open to ideas and asking the right questions.
Strong Ability to Build Relationships and Earn Trust: The successful candidate will be able to build strong relationships with a variety of key partners, including: 1) Critical partners in our Solution Architect and Professional Services Enablement Communities who are the Subject Matter Experts, 2) external, customer-facing Training & Certification teams to ensure alignment and correct use of resources, 3) Subject Matter Experts in the broader AWS organization (Services, BD), 4) the WW Enablement & Training Organization 5) Embedded Enablement Teams in each Region, 6) PMO and Operations teams. He/She will have a high say-do ratio, and will be trusted by their teams and peers to deliver what they say can be done.
Dive Deep: The successful candidate must be able to get into the details, manage multiple projects concurrently, monitor activity, inspire his/her team to continue to make progress on key projects. Effectively balance workloads across all team members. Leverage external vendors as needed to ensure that all work is completed on-time, on-budget and that we hit our key customer promise dates.
Strong Technical Aptitude-the successful candidate will have Technology/IT industry experience, and she/he will have technical aptitude. She/he does not need to be a deep technical expert, but-she/she needs to demonstrate an active willingness to learn our cloud service portfolio, and demonstrate an energy and desire for wanting to partner with the Service Teams to enable the field with their help.
Working Knowledge of Product Management - the candidate we are seeking for this critical role will also have some working knowledge of Product Management toolkits, frameworks and processes as she/he will be working closely with the Service Teams and this knowledge will help build empathy and will enable a stronger partnership, a critical factor to enabling the field.
