Police Athletic League Manager of Corporate Giving in New York, New York
The Police Athletic League (PAL) is the largest independent youth organization in New York City that provides educational and recreational activities for children and young adults. PAL Inc. and The New York City Police Department work in partnership to provide communities with summer and after-school recreational and educational activities.
We are looking for a Manager of Corporate Giving who will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing PAL corporate giving program. The Manager of Corporate Giving is responsible for drafting and submitting proposals and reports, tracking deadlines, and identifying new funding sources.
Major Duties & Responsibilities
Create corporate giving plan including renewals and prospects;
Track corporate fund prospects and awards, and report on progress toward goals;
Serve as a contact with corporate program officers; participate in meetings and site visits;
Identify, research, and cultivate prospective corporate partners
Leverage social media assets to communicate with current and potential corporate supporters;
Coordinate special projects in conjunction with the PAL Executive Office.
Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree required. Masters degree preferred.
Three to five years of experience in corporate philanthropy or corporate social responsibility.
Experience in resource development specifically grants writing and research.
Experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; Raiser?s Edge experience a plus.
Excellent writer and copy editor;
Ability to work independently;
Knowledge of Social Media platforms, specifically Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
