Description

PRINCIPAL OBJECTIVE: 

Strong business manager with experience developing account category strategies, sell-through and sell-in forecasts, negotiating stock & sales plans, delivering gross shipments, and managing key metrics and inventory levels. Manages retailer orders to ensure optimal ordering parameters. Manages inventory in the trade to minimize returns and ensures the right level of WOS in the right SKUS in the right doors. Primary advisor to Account Lead, helping inform overall account strategy regarding shipments, sales, stock/sales & category planning.

Reports to Head of Account & Sales Planning with matrix line to Account Lead(s). Ensures that account’s inventory is managed to hit brand and retailer growth objectives. Primary Evaluation Metrics: Manage overall inventory to hit retail sales goals, including gross shipments, returns, WOS, inventory turn, and counter service levels.

Key Roles and Responsibilities:

Pre-Season Planning:

  • Develop annual budgets, sales plans, and gross shipments.

  • Create and manage seasonal stock and sales plans.

  • Negotiate stock and sales plans with retailers.

  • Build monthly and weekly stock flow and ship plans.

  • Identify risks and opportunities to financial plans.

In-Season Management:

  • Manage monthly stock and sales plans, re-projecting as needed.

  • Conduct weekly calls with retail buyers to understand OTB and constraints.

  • Analyze top doors and SKUs to identify sales opportunities.

  • Recommend and review orders to balance launch and basic needs.

  • Monitor service levels, inventory, and returns.

Inventory Management:

  • Review service levels and performance metrics.

  • Manage inventory levels, including phase-ins, phase-outs, and returns.

  • Train retailers on DIF processes and monitor compliance.

  • Recommend opening orders for new retailers/stores.

Allocations:

  • Review and optimize door-level allocations for launches, holidays, and samples.

  • Manage and communicate launch quantities and ship dates.

Administrative Activities:

  • Partner with Account Leads on strategy and sales analyses.

  • Conduct relevant administrative tasks and maintain PO logs and OOS reports.

  • Prepare and communicate seasonal retailer packets.

  • Assist with ad hoc reporting and sales planning documents.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • College degree required 

  • 5+ years of experience specifically in financial planning or working with stock & sales plans

  • Strong math and analytical skills

  • Strong ability to structure, analyze and manipulate large amount of data in excel quickly (e.g., pivot tables, vlookup, data cleaning, etc.)

  • Ability to review and analyze Stock & Sales Plan; knowledge of inventory models and KPIs (turn, WOS) and retail supply chain

  • Understanding of forecasting and replenishment planning tools and systems

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills and ability to present effectively and credibly to client

  • Self-starter and ability to work independently

  • Knowledge of basic inventory and replenishment skills

Pay Range:

The anticipated base salary range for this position is $85,000.00 to $139,600.00 . Exact salary depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a highly competitive bonus program with the possibility for overachievement based on performance and company results.
