Job Overview/Summary

You will lead Retention marketing for multiple Clorox brands, developing best-in-class CRM journeys that drive engagement and monetization across the customer’s lifecycle. Key journeys include conversion, activation, product launches, promotions, loyalty, and winback. You will flawlessly execute strategies across email, SMS, web, and experimental channels, expertly tapping into our data to segment, target, and excite our customers. You will lead our team’s point of view for applying and testing new personalization and segmentation capabilities, working closely with colleagues on our Acquisition, Brand, Product, Engineering, Data Science, Merchandising, and Creative teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end development of lifecycle campaigns - from planning and execution, to optimization and measurement - that increase user engagement, retention and LTV.

  • Develop promotional campaigns and manage the email marketing cadence in partnership with the Brand, Merchandising, and Acquisition teams.

  • Partner closely with the Data team to define lifecycle stages, target key customer actions, and nurture high value cohorts.

  • Measure the success of retention marketing efforts and regularly report out on performance and key findings.

  • Drive strategic and operational efficiency by sizing and independently prioritizing opportunities with an eye towards applying learnings across multiple brands.

  • Develop and implement a Loyalty strategy in concert with the Retention Pod Leader. Partner with the Product team to evaluate vendors and select a Loyalty platform to service all DTC brands.

About you

You are a seasoned lifecycle marketer with a growth hacker / start-up mentality who can bring user experiences to life through a variety of CRM strategies. You embody our group’s fail fast mentality by developing tests and iterating on learnings across platforms, creative formats, messaging, audiences. You enjoy working within a team of passionate, collaborative marketers but are equally comfortable operating independently to bring projects to completion. You’re also a strong communicator who welcomes the opportunity to coach junior team members.


  • Minimum of 5-7 years experience in retention marketing, CRM, or lifecycle automation. E-commerce experience a plus.

  • Bachelor's Degree Required

  • Demonstrated, extensive experience with marketing automation platforms and ESPs, including experience with platform migration.

  • Strong analytical skills and a proven track record of working with data to drive campaign ideation and business results.

  • Ability to work across multiple brands that have different customer bases. Comfortable pivoting quickly to meet each brand’s priorities.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration and project management skills.

  • Willingness to seek out answers, explore out of the box solutions, and track down resources. Strong problem-solving skills, especially when dealing with ambiguity.

  • Candidate will ideally be located in New York but open to remote based on candidate location.
