Legends manages all operations across ticketing, special events, sponsorship food and beverage and retail for Attractions partners.


Legends designed, built and operates One World Observatory (“OWO”), an immersive one-hour guest experience at the top of the World Trade Center. OWO has set a new standard in the observatory experience by incorporating premium dining experiences, technologically advanced programming, and 360 views of Downtown New York and New Jersey. Some of the top experiences at OWO include the SkyPod, an elevator ride that ascends to the 102nd floor in 47 seconds, the See Forever Theater, an audio-visual experience to connect with the rhythms of the city, and Sky Portal/City Pulse, both experiences to learn and see more of New York City.

In 2016, One World Observatory received awards and recognition from the Concierge Choice Awards (Winner: Tourist Attraction), Themed Entertainment Association (Thea Awards for Outstanding Achievement), TripAdvisor (Top U.S. Trending Summer Attraction), and Lonely Planet (Favorite Online Listing).


Responsible for working closely with facility management to coordinate information, maximize revenue through sales, and market the venue potential to clients.


  • Serves as the main point of contact for clients to facilitate and direct all the logistics associated with a Special Event at Well& By Durst. Event coordination includes menu planning, coordination with preferred venders and communication with other departments including, but not limited to Culinary, Operations, Engineering, Cleaning, Loading Dock, IT and Security.

  • Manage event load-in, execution, and load-out including directing pre-event meetings.

  • Create an exceptional guest experience by delivering a high level of service and ensuring all staff engage guests to understand their needs and exceed expectations.

  • Develop customized menus to meet the diverse needs of social and corporate clientele.

  • Lead the food and beverage planning process with clients including menu development, tastings and communicating service standards.

  • Communicate with the Event Sales team to ensure events are executed as planned.

  • Assist with recruiting, interviewing, hiring, training and furthering the abilities of all catering staff.

  • Manage collection of all required insurance documentation for event vendors.

  • Coordinate vendor load-in following established building policies and procedures.

  • Responsible for communication between the Event Sales and the Culinary team.

  • Responsible for the ordering and inventory of equipment, small wares, disposables, and beverages.

  • Ensure the smooth operation of all catering functions.

  • Stay current with industry trends and participate in the development of innovative menu concepts, event set-ups and service styles.

  • Assist with financial reporting including pre and post event P&Ls and projected sales reports.

  • Attend weekly Event Order and Hospitality leadership meetings.

  • Liaise with Operations and Engineering team to ensure the event space is well maintained.

  • Create spreadsheets and documents to improve event operations.

  • Supervise general cleaning tasks using standard products as assigned to adhere to health standards.

  • Complete other duties as assigned by Management.

  • Complete other duties as assigned by the Premium Services Manager.


To perform this job successfully, the candidate must be able to perform each essential duty above at the highest levels. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years leadership experience preferably in premium services, catering and concessions environment for a sports and entertainment venue.

  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-oriented environment.

  • Strong commitment to delivering a high level of customer and client service with demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management skills.

  • Customer service oriented with the ability to interact with all levels of management

  • Must be able to work in a team environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including nights, weekends and holidays.
