Paramount Manager, Licensing Toys in New York, New York

Overview

The Toy Licensing Manager has an opportunity to work across the entire Paramount portfolio with some of most iconic properties in entertainment including but not limited to Nickelodeon, MTV, Comedy Central, Paramount Pictures and CBS. In this exciting role, the Manager will oversee and grow licensed partnerships to ensure the successful development and launch of products. The EMEA and ANZ position is responsible for driving regional toy strategies which includes implementing global deals in respective regions and leading regional deals. They will also develop quarterly revenue estimates and budgets, negotiate, and implement deals with new or renewing licensees, manage and increase our existing account base, and lead product development for all products. They will drive collaboration with cross-functional collaborators to ensure successful development and implementation of toy category business initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and implement new business initiatives in the assigned categories.

  • Establish financials goals and business strategies to achieve them, providing input in overall short-term and long-range budget targets.

  • Analyze, pitch, and negotiate new business deals and seek opportunities for growth across new product categories and retailers and vocalize regional needs through the global toy negotiation process.

  • Lead all quarterly forecasts and business reviews. Monitor sales results to ensure revenues meet budgetary goals.

  • Serve as primary driver to provide support, information, and materials for licensees to enhance development of new products and continued retail expansion of existing products.

  • Collaborate with Consumer Product business leaders, Franchise, Press, Global Creative Group, Finance, Operations, Standards, and Legal to drive the category business strategies across all Paramount franchises.

  • Lead daily communication with Global Creative Group to coordinate all product development benchmarks, including product approvals and any rush requests.

  • Collaborate with local Retail Development teams to track performance, address issues and launch strategies. Together, ensure licensees are up to date on all major retail initiatives and are actively pitching products for all key seasons throughout the year.

  • Handle day to day relationship with licensees and internal regional leads.

  • Provide support in the contract management process.

  • Maintain knowledge of current industry trends and competitive landscape.

  • Maintain weekly updates with internal and external collaborators to track performance, address issues and launch strategies.

  • Implement new licensee set up including Deal Memo set up, D&B health checks, and Creative 101s

  • Liaison with creative team and partner through product development and approval process.

  • Ensure licensees deliver product line suitable for core category & brand values

  • Liaise with regional sales teams to ensure the line delivers against key partner requirements.

  • Prepare product presentations for retail development team and internal staff meetings.

  • Domestic & International Travel may be required

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree required

  • 5+ years working in licensing/marketing/Consumer Product sales role

  • Good understanding of Paramount brand position and retail environment

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong time management skills and organization

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Hiring Salary Range: $75,000.00 - 100,000.00.

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, tuition assistance program and PTO or, if applicable, as otherwise dictated by the appropriate Collective Bargaining Agreement.This position is bonus eligible.
