The primary role of the Regional Visual Merchandiser, East is to oversee the training and execution of Merchandising guidelines and communication for the Eastern Region of the US, ensuring consistency and high visual standards that are representative of the brand image in all channels of distribution. This role will also assist when needed in the design and execution of displayer templates for our Specialty Multi channels.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain merchandising layouts (planograms) for all new and existing locations.

  • Complete / submit displayer orders and in store graphics for new store openings in the region.

  • Ensure presence at key freestanding and partnered store openings. Assist with the Visual Merchandising needs and train the staff on merchandising guidelines.

  • Conduct merchandising workshops and training sessions.

  • Communicate regularly and maintain positive working relationships with Corporate Visual Merchandising, Marketing, COE’s and Field Management.

  • Work with NA Window Design team to ensure window programs are being executed properly.

  • Maintain consistently high visual standards through regular store visits, conference calls and recap documents.

  • Ensure all floor plans, photographs, merchandising layouts, etc. for stores in the East Region are organized, up to date.

  • Assist in the creation of seasonal displayer schematic layouts based on Line-ups for each distribution channel

  • Responsible for the development of impactful displayer design solutions for assigned programs when needed for Specialty Multi channel.

  • Produce technical drawings, renderings and models for internal and external usage when needed.

  • Participate in weekly 360 Marketing/ VM department status meetings as needed and coordinate on a daily basis with other members of the Creative

  • Maintain strong working knowledge of MAC brand, its heritage, customers, products and retail environments.

  • Utilize internal and external influences to concept ideas and innovations.

  • Leverage strong organizational and communication skills to manage multiple projects at one time.

  • Assist in the implementation of Retail / Special Events and Trade Shows when necessary.

  • Travel as needed for retail site visits within North America.



  • 5 years of related experience with strong operational background inproject management, especially within a visual merchandising, retailoperations, or marketing department.

  • General understanding of fabrication and print processes.

  • Experience managing fixture and/or print vendors a plus.

  • Extremely organized, detail oriented and operates with accuracy.

  • Able to be flexible and reactive to changes.

  • A multi-tasker who can prioritize, delegate, and deliver againstvarying deadlines.

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketchup, Rhino and MicrosoftOffice.

  • Understanding of industrial design with the ability to designdisplayer templates when needed.

  • Strong knowledge of Specialty Multi channels. (Ulta, Sephora)

  • Excellent communication skills to share information quickly andeffectively.

  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Operates with a sense ofurgency.

  • Detailed as well as big picture thinker.

  • Team player who enjoys collaborating with cross functional teamsboth in the Field and Corporate.

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or design.
