We are seeking a senior integrated communications and public relations manager, who is an experienced navigator in the health and well-being space.

With offices in NY, Washington, DC, Boston, and Los Angeles and a diverse portfolio of blue-chip accounts and nimble start-ups, our team works both in-office and remotely. Specifically, we work with pharmaceutical/biotechnology, medical device and technology, consumer health and beauty/skin care companies, as well as advocacy and non-profit groups.

TogoRun has immediate openings for an Account Supervisor or Managing Supervisor role to support a global skincare client and a global client in the nutraceutical space, with additional opportunities to support other health and wellness accounts in the future. Ideally, this position will be in Los Angeles, San Diego or San Francisco, with the option to work remotely. Core responsibilities will include:


  • Serve as client liaison responsible for day-to-day project management, and provide proactive client counsel and creative recommendations across multiple communications platforms.

  • Manage communications strategies across earned, owned, and paid channels, as well as corporate/brand collateral, events, and integrated awareness campaigns.

  • Contribute to the development of integrated strategic communications plans that support brand marketing and enhance corporate positioning.

  • Create connections and facilitate relationships between client and external audiences: third party organizations, healthcare professionals, media, etc.

  • Support earned and paid media programs to include strategy, creative direction and execution; demonstrate solid understanding of what makes for a winning news story and how to best “sell” it to reporters.

  • Facilitate partnerships with third parties and manage all associated activities, including events and thought leadership opportunities.

  • Support development of high-quality content for a variety of communications platforms, including digital and social.

  • Supervise and train junior account staff; provide quality control; determine workflow and assignments.

  • Oversee extended team members, as well as freelancers/vendors, in an organized way that results in seamless delivery.

  • Support account budgeting and planning; manage monthly budget tracking and billing. Also show strong ability to staff accounts appropriately, achieve forecast, and demonstrate fiscal responsibility and efficiencies to maximize client investment.

  • Contribute to business development efforts for TogoRun.

  • Participate in TogoRun internal initiatives to promote a strong culture and to further highlight agency’s expertise, integrated approach and client service model.

Key Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will possess 7-9 years of communications or PR agency experience, with a focus in health and wellness; beauty/skincare experience is also welcome. Candidates should be somewhat of a “generalist” with cross-spectrum experience in multiple areas to include strategic planning, writing/collateral development, research, media strategy and management, HCP communications, branded/unbranded campaigns, corporate/product milestone announcements, social/digital and event management. Experience working on celebrity and thought leadership campaigns or more in-depth social media programs is a plus.

  • Candidate must be a strong project manager with a proactive, innovative and positive attitude toward client service that carries over to the way she/he/they manages and inspires the team. In addition, the candidate should be resourceful, with an inclination towards driving projects forward.

  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task are fundamental to succeeding in this position. It will be important for the candidate to maintain open communication and strong account coordination with a cross-office agency team, as well as solidify strong client relationships based on timely/quality execution and counsel.
