Marketing Brand Manager; Local POS Design, Sally Hansen & Mass Fragrance
Core Description:
The Marketing Manager, Local POS Design is responsible for developing and executing in-store merchandising strategies across both Sally Hansen & Mass Fragrance. The Manager will working to produce creative that will animate the brand at point of sale and drive both base business and new product growth. He/she will lead a cross-functional team of Trade Marketing, Finance, and Wall/Display logistics, as well as external agency partners, to establish in-store creative vision and guidelines for both permanent and temporary merchandising. In this role, he/she will also partner with Global Marketing to both adapt globally-developed creative and influence future Global creative development to deliver on US market needs.
In addition, the Marketing Manager, Local POS Design, will be a key resource to his/her Local Marketing counterparts for new innovation launch planning, responsible for optimizing wall distribution and placement, and visual impact on both wall and display. Additionally, he/she will lead E-Commerce content development and Commercial Innovation for the Local Marketing team, which may include multipacks, value sets and/or other thematic packaging that capitalizes on key seasonal periods or other unique business opportunities.
The Marketing Manager, Local POS Design, has a sharp eye for marketing creative and communications effectiveness, quality and consistency. He/she is highly attuned to the competitive environment, as well as the internal brand portfolio, and able to leverage that knowledge to formulate an in-store vision for the brand. He/she is also detail oriented and capable of managing a high degree of complexity across numerous stakeholders to translate vision into reality.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead all US in-store creative executions (Wall and Display), including briefing and developing creative with in-house teams and external creative agencies. Align key communications priorities with Local and Global Marketing teams.
Lead cross-functional team including Brand Marketing, Trade Marketing, Sales and Wall/Display Logistics to understand sales trends, customer needs and other business challenges/opportunities. Develop and execute strong merchandising strategies accordingly. Provide actionable recommendations to Global Marketing to influence development of winning in-store creative for both base business and new innovation.
Attend Top 4 retailer line review meetings to sell-in Wall creative and merchandising and collaborate on final implementation.
Manage accurate execution of all Marketing messaging at the wall, inclusive of graphic signs, claims copy, bullnose copy and shade lineups.
Lead the future of in-store innovation by identifying key opportunities and challenging/building internal capabilities to come to market in new ways.
Develop and maintain in-store creative guidelines.
Manage in-store budget.
Lead local display execution, including ideation, briefing, financial evaluation, creative approvals and execution of national display themes.
Lead display execution for account-specific displays, working with Customer and Trade Marketing teams to ensure displays deliver on both retailer and brand objectives.
Attend weekly forecasting meetings to track display forecasts and troubleshoot issues.
Create and maintain local display calendar.
Lead ideation process for locally-driven activations (including but not limited to; unique packs such as multipacks, duo packs and value sets), modified packaging art that capitalizes on seasonal moments or other marketing programs and opportunities, aligning concept and execution with Global Marketing.
Lead cross-functional team on financial evaluation, sell-in and execution.
Application Pre-Requisites:
4-year Undergraduate Degree
5-7 years of Marketing and/or related experience
Beauty experience very strongly preferred
Deep, unrelenting passion for Beauty
Eye for detail in both qualitative and quantitative aspects
