Media Buyer in New York, New York
The Studio at Situation Group crafts award-winning work for the world’s leading entertainment, education and mission-driven brands. The Studio seeks a Media Buyer to activate and optimize media campaigns across social and digital platforms. This role will report to the Supervisor of Media Buying and will be responsible for trafficking, pacing and optimizing assigned paid media accounts across all client verticals. The selected candidate will demonstrate social and digital platform expertise, acute attention to detail and a general love of paid media.
What You'll Do
As a Media Buyer for Situation Group, you will be responsible for working collaboratively with all internal teams across different departments (accounts, media, creative, analytics etc.) to produce best in class campaign management and performance. You will traffic campaigns, monitor budgets and performance and optimize across all digital and social tactics. You will collaborate with department leads on investigating new platforms and making recommendations for expanding team capabilities while overseeing your assigned book of media business / campaigns.
The Media Buying role is fully remote with options to be in-person as needed / desired by the candidate for those living within a reasonable commuting distance from the office. Our office is located in midtown Manhattan and we are currently working in-office three days per week.
Sample Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Working collaboratively with all internal teams to successfully deliver digital media campaigns – teams may include Planning, Search and Social, Programmatic, Data and Creative
Monitor budgets, pacing and ensure deadlines are met
Setup and QA digital advertising campaigns across multiple platforms, including but not limited to Google Ads, Display & Video 360, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, etc.
Work with vendor support teams on tracking tag implementation and issue troubleshooting/inquiry.
Optimize campaigns to meet and surpass campaign KPI benchmarks and internal benchmarks.
Communicate and ensure delivery of campaign assets (working with PM and account team)
Maintain communications with media technology partners to ensure campaigns are running smoothly
Keep on top of industry trends and making recommendations for client testing within buying channels e.g. new ad networks, creative formats, buy models etc
A minimum of 3 years digital media experience, agency and digital media preferred
Understanding of campaign tagging, Q/A, and technical troubleshooting
Knowledge and utilization of 1st and/or 3rd party data
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Docs/Sheets
Strong attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be prepared for a fast-paced environment and be comfortable making decisions
Fluency working with industry tools (Facebook Ads Manager, Facebook Business Manager,YouTube, Google Search, Google Display Network, Google Analytics)
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
