Soho House & Co. Member Services Agent- Seasonal - SHNY in New York, New York
This position includes but is not limited to: being responsible for answering all incoming calls and creating reservations for both the club and the rooms as well as connecting calls with appropriate departments that are not in need of a reservation. This role will work in partnership with all departments of the hotel to fulfill guest and internal requests. Providing excellent service to guests and members via friendliness, discretion, and accuracy will be key to success in this role.
Answer inquiries about all aspects of the Club and/or Hotel, its services and facilities
To be fully knowledgeable of all aspects of the Guest Directory
To be fully knowledgeable of room types, room descriptions, rates and availability
Create or alter reservations for rooms and restaurant and getting approval if needed
Confirm all restaurant and member event reservations
Take IRD orders
Update daily F&B allocation sheets
Handle SHNY website inquiries – Wufoo
Answer incoming emails and faxes as well as printing/scanning documents for members and hotel guests
Protect privacy of our guests, members and coworkers at all times
Punctuate all calls and interactions with friendliness, accuracy, and discretion
Coordinate with club reception, front desk, housekeeping, membership, and other departments while serving our members and guests
Delegate room deliveries to bell attendant(s)
Handle all accounting related inquiries (i.e. sending folios, fielding disputes, billing, receipts, refund requests)
Keep all lost credit cards in safe and deal with any inquiries
Handle walkout retrievals
Check and maintain inventory for department as needed
Receive and execute wake up calls
Update google docs with guest list information
Log requests and handling amenities
Perform all concierge duties as required including, but not limited to; booking cars, tickets to shows, restaurant reservations, spa reservations, etc.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor/manager
Strong written and verbal communication skills required.
Being detail-oriented a must!
Must have a professional and friendly phone manner
Schedule openness and flexibility
Computer literacy necessary – proficiency with Microsoft Word, Google Docs, & Excel.
Knowledge of Opera PMS and Open Table is strongly preferred
Keen ear and eye for accuracy a must!
Ability to multitask, often answering multiple phone calls at once in a fast paced environment while remaining calm under pressure
