The Merchandising Teams holds the line from execution of initial concepts and seasonal strategies to the finalized and curated product assortments. This team partners with Design, Merchandise Financial Planning, Global Sourcing, and Business partners to maximize profitability while staying true to the EILEEN FISHER brand vision.
As the Merchandising Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting and providing support to the Merchandising team, as well as managing the operations, logistics, and tools associated with the Product Lifecycle as it pertains to Merchandising. This includes, but is not limited to managing the Line Plan tool, the visual Master Assortment Planning tool, and updating PLM data as needed. Other aspects of this role include responsibility for maintaining all changes to the line and communicating this information with our cross functional teams – Design, Design Operations, Global Sourcing and Sales.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain, edit, and update: Line Plan, MAP, and line changes for Mainline, Accessories, Petite & Plus, Exclusives, and Leather
Create, generate & update excel based reports
Attends “Feedback” or “Hindsight” meetings and takes notes for the larger team.
Assists with the preparation for all merchandising meetings, including preparation and distribution of necessary materials, tools, and meeting notes.
Compile all requests or feedback from DTC and Wholesale channels to review with Merchandising and Design teams
Routinely organizes individual or team connections
Completes special projects as necessary and performs other related duties and assignments as required
Education: Bachelors Degree preferred.
1-3 years of related experience in the retail or wholesale apparel industry.
High level of experience and proficiency in Excel
Proficiency in other Microsoft Office products (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Excellent analytical and mathematical proficiency with strong business and financial analysis skills
Ability to work in a collaborative environment
Ability to prioritize and handle competing priorities
Strong attention to detail
