Customer Success: Microsoft aspires to help our customers achieve their own digital transformation, leveraging the power of Microsoft Cloud solutions and support offerings. To this end, Microsoft is investing in a team dedicated to ensuring Microsoft customers successfully realize their business objectives.

The Microsoft Azure Commit to Consume (MACC) Program Manager will lead a matrixed team across Microsoft, our partners and customer personnel as appropriate. The MACC Program Manager’s focus is to develop and execute on a detailed program plan to leverage the Microsoft cloud platform to achieve our customer’s stated business objectives. This plan may include the capture strategy, partner strategy, planning, and team operations and subsequently leading the execution of large enterprise cloud engagements at Microsoft.

  • Lead and Partner with Program Stakeholders and Customers to achieve their goals for digital transformation while maximizing Microsoft’s position across the customer’s digital estate.

  • Coordinate with various product and services teams within Microsoft and its Partner ecosystem and introduce and deploy those products and services to customers that will enhance customer digital transformation in alignment with their business objectives and specified program outcomes.

Program Management

  • Lead and direct large enterprise cloud implementation programs that may cross multiple customer workstreams as well as external and internal teams.

  • Ensure the successful implementation of Program Objectives. Develop schedules for program milestones, reviews, customer interfaces and internal milestone tracking.

  • Develop strong internal relationships across a matrixed team of Account Executives, Technical Architects, Engineering, Services and Support for the successful execution of program objectives.

  • With the Customer Success Account Manager, collaboratively lead face-to-face customer reviews with senior management and leverage trusted customer relationships that enable the customer to reach success in the shortest amount of time possible.

Lead customer engagement to serve as a single Microsoft voice pulling all internal resources to bear for each customer in a coordinate and consolidated manner. Coordinate and orchestrate across multiple workstreams and teams for larger,

  • complex programs. Single POC for delivery/program execution to the Sales, Engineering, Microsoft Services, Executive Management and Microsoft Partners.

  • Oversee contract execution and program implementation to include program financial performance against assigned targets and gap planning to overcome any forecasted shortfall to targets.

  • Create and maintain program documentation to include: Program Management Plan(s) and POA&Ms for programs. Oversee the creation of Technical Direction documents and standard operating procedures for programs.

  • Track contract deadlines and draft/create deliverables. Submit contract deliverables on schedule (Project Plans, Technical Documents, Monthly Program Reviews, etc.)

  • Establish and lead recurring, cadenced team (daily/weekly/bi-weekly) meetings with all key internal stakeholders.


Experiences Required: Education, Key Experiences, Skills and Knowledge:

  • The ideal candidate is a seasoned business professional with multi-disciplinary experience, who has the aspiration and potential to grow as a broad business leader, especially in leading multi-year, large cloud engagements of $50m-$100m

  • Excellent skills in all aspects of planning, cross-group collaboration, resource orchestration, communications, analytical capabilities and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication skills, as well as displaying executive presence and confidence in varying levels of customer situations. The MACC Program Manager must show leadership in teams comprised of Microsoft, Partner and customer resources who may be engaged in the delivery of complex solutions for overall customer success.

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, innovation, and the ability to motivate, inspire, and lead people teams with a high degree of independence and success.

  • Proven track record of driving decisions collaboratively, resolving conflicts and ensuring follow through with exceptional verbal and written communication.

  • 7+ years of success in leading consultative/complex technical deployment projects (where necessary, managing various stakeholder relationships to get consensus on solution/projects)

  • Matrix leadership experience on major transformation projects and successful transitions to implementation support teams

  • Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructures, architecture designs, and migrations preferred. Knowledge of market trends and competitive insights preferred. Understanding of partner ecosystems and the ability to leverage partner solutions to solve customer needs preferred.

  • Travel ranges from 25-75% depending on location and assignment.

The salary for this role in the state of Colorado is between $116,000 and $175,300. At Microsoft, certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including annual bonus and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee’s role.
