The Opportunity

Our Digital and Emerging Technology competency within the Technology Consulting Practice primarily focuses on the evaluation, design, customization and optimization of Digital and Cloud based solutions. Our team typically works with Fortune 1000 clients across a variety of industries including Manufacturing/Supply Chain, Healthcare/Life Sciences, Energy/Utilities, Consumer Products, Technology, Transportation, Telecommunications and Entertainment/Media.  

Your key responsibilities

Our Digital and Emerging Technology practice is made up of four distinct solution areas: Customer solutions, Enterprise solutions, Operations solutions and our underlying Delivery team, which flows through all solution areas. These service areas span competency in E-commerce, UI/UX, Solution Architecture, Mobile Applications, Integration and testing, Digital Platform Architecture, Cloud Advisory Services, Digital Technology Strategy, and Digital IT Operations. 

Skills and attributes for success

  • Support and lead Technology Consulting services by working in project teams through agreed upon phases of project governance, requirements definition, vendor selection, risk analysis, customization, testing, training and rollout of a client's project lifecycle. 

  • Lead team members in developing applicable methodologies, tools, approaches, points of view, thought leadership and accelerators to differentiate EY in the Digital and Emerging Technology Advisory market.  

  • Provide broad technical and/or functional knowledge of various key technology and business platforms. 

  • Team with client technology professionals, and/or third-party strategic alliances. 

  • Develop long-term relationships and networks both internally and externally. 

  • Lead and work with a team of technology professionals through all phases of the technology lifecycle, including requirements definition, architecture, design, conversion, and testing. 

  • Interact and communicate effectively with teammates, clients, stakeholders, and executives. 

To qualify for the role, you must have

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field

  • 5+ years’ experience on mobile projects with 2+ years operating as a technical lead (native development using Java/Android or Swift/Apple) 

  • Technical experience to include but not limited to: Enterprise Mobile Architecture; Mobile Service design and Solution modeling, Extensive experience with MEAP/MADP providers; experience leading mobile app development efforts; Fluency with n-tier and Native/Hybrid architecture 

  • Solid understanding of vendor agnostic concepts on best practice design and modeling of complex, cloud and on-premise systems utilizing the latest in technology trends such as Xaas 

  • Must have worked with MADP / MEAP tools and built custom mobile backend platforms 

  • Must have led teams small to mid-size teams in overseeing commerce implementations 

  • Understanding of developing reusable design concepts across multiple platforms and devices. 

  • Experience translating user generated/BA documentation on business needs into actionable structure and design. 

  • A valid driver’s license in the US; willingness and ability to travel to meet client needs

Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and to explain technical concepts to a functional audience

  • Strong ability to listen and understand the question and develop and deliver clear insights

  • TOGAF, CSM/OR PMP certified preferred   

  • Executive demeanor and presence
