DESCRIPTION:

The National Account Manager position is responsible for selling the entire Adult and Children’s Distributed Client lists to Baker & Taylor, Ingram and Follett Book Fairs. In this position, the National Account Manager is required to sell in all titles and keep estimates updated in our system. They must analyze sales on a weekly basis and manage efficiencies keep returns at a minimum. The sales rep must provide regular feedback on sales through written updates, Forsyte comments, sales call preparation and post-call follow-up meetings with their manager and with the Clients. The sales manager must create and maintain strong relationships with the Buying and Marketing Staff and each of the above accounts and create and maintain strong relationships with each of our Distribution Clients. This position requires monthly Sales Calls to Baker & Taylor in Bridgewater, NJ, and Semi Seasonal Sales Calls to Ingram in Nashville, TN 3-4 times a year, as well as a seasonal call Follett Book Fairs in Chicago.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in book publishing highly preferred.
