Morgan Lewis & Bockius LLP Paralegal - Finance in New York, New York

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading international law firms with almost 4000 lawyers and staff in 31 offices is seeking a Finance Paralegal reporting to the Paralegal Manager. This position will reside in either the Boston, Hartford, or New York office and will be responsible for providing paralegal support to the attorneys in the Finance Practice.

Responsibilities:
Drafting transaction documentation with strict attention to detail, then coordinating execution of those documents
Preparing and filing UCC financing statements and other documents to be recorded with federal, state and local filing offices
Conducting procedural and factual research and UCC and other lien searches with appropriate filing offices
Summarizing UCC and other lien searches
Performing due diligence with regard to charter documents and good standing certificates
Assisting with transaction closings; overseeing finalization and execution of loan documentation
Preparing closing checklists, charts, and other deal specific forms as requested by the client
Managing closing mechanics and verifying all requirements have been met before closing
Preparing closing binders
Assist with maintaining post-closing status chart
Communicating with multiple clients on a regular basis

Experience/Qualifications:
ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate or equivalent experience
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Two (2) years of relevant Finance experience preferred
Advanced knowledge of Firm and Finance practice-area-specific procedures and terminology
The ability to handle multiple assignments under time constraints and be detail orientated
Flexibility with overtime required
A demonstrated proficiency with MS Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel and excellent oral and written communication skills
