PASTRY COOK / BAKERSalary Range DOE: Min $20 - Max$24Reports to:Chef de CuisineHead Baker/PastryDepartment:Kitchen, Pastry TeamPosition Classification:FLSA Non-Exempt, Hourly EmployeeJob Responsibilities:This position will be responsible for preparing a wide variety of goods such as scones, desserts, cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipesReport for duty on time and ensure you use the time clock to check in and out. Manage your time including taking rest and meal breaks in compliance with New York Labor Law. Keep Manager informed when you leave the station.Follows recipes according to guidelinesPrepares all pastry items, as well as breadsFollows recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as directed by the ChefCollaborate with the Chefs to create new and exciting desserts according to the season.Restocks all items as needed throughout shiftCleans and maintains station in practicing good safety, sanitation, organizational skillsHas understanding and knowledge to properly use and maintain all equipment in stationHelps with other kitchen duties assigned by the Chefs to ensure all department needs are met.Commitment to quality service.
