Citi Payments & Receivables Product Head in New York, New York

The US CCB Cash & Trade business is transforming its product platform to Be the Best digital banking platform for commercial clients in the US and to stay at the forefront of the rapidly evolving payments and receivables landscape. Payments & receivables products and services are utilized by virtually all of our clients in some capacity and represent a critical strategic focus for the business as the market continues to explore and evaluate the impact of emerging technology, increased client expectations and significant

disruption from fintech competitors.

The Payments & Receivables Product Head will be responsible for driving the overall vision and strategy of the US CCB Client Led Innovation product roadmap for CCB Platform payments and receivables products in close partnership with the Product Innovation, Client Experience, Digital Platforms & Transformation and Technology teams. The person’s primary role will be to drive the commercialization and profitability strategy for CCB Platform payments and receivables products, the vision and execution of client experience enhancement projects, while maintaining a strong control environment.

The Payments & Receivables Product Head will also work closely with TTS partners to ensure our CCB clients’ have access to market leading payments and receivables products and channels capabilities and to improve our client experience.

The successful candidate will manage a team of 4 seasoned product managers, overseeing over 15 products and will report to the Cash Management Product Head. The Payments & Receivables Product Head will be responsible for ensuring the team stays abreast of the payments industry and fintech disruption and supports the Digital Product Development teams as SMEs for payments and receivables projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the vision and strategy of the US CCB Client Led Innovation roadmap for CCB Platform payments and receivables products in partnership with the Product Innovation, Client Experience, Digital Platforms & Transformation and Technology teams to ensure new FinTech partnerships and / or newly built capabilities are designed and delivered as part of a holistic, world class payments client experience.

  • Present product vision and strategy to senior management and other key stakeholders.

  • Visit strategic clients to understand their current payment flows, corporate structure, digital interactions, painpoints, strategy / goals and leverage insights to commercialize CCB platform payments and receivables products, help prioritize CCB Platform product roadmap and influence TTS initiatives.

  • Keep abreast of current and future trends in payments and cash management in partnership with Product Innovation head. Stay connected to the industry.

  • Drive the commercialization strategy for payments and receivables products by defining value proposition, competitive positioning, developing segment / industry strategies in partnership with Sales, creating relevant marketing materials, etc.

  • Manage the growth and profitability of CCB Platform payments and receivables products, including analyzing repricing opportunities, vendor rationalization / optimization opportunities, and helping craft the sales strategy and materials.

  • Own end to end client experience by partnering with Service, Operations and Implementation across CCB and TTS platforms to continuously enhance product delivery and solutions.

  • Build strong partnerships with other Citi product and innovation teams like TTS and Retail Product organizations, FX, Citi Ventures, etc.

  • Represent Citi at conferences and industry organizations, take a lead role in thought leadership

  • Ensure product risk, compliance and audit standards and maintain a pristine control environment.

  • Lead a team of 4 seasoned product managers who will drive product commercialization and client experience enhancement initiatives across 15+ products.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years of cash management and payments experience, commercial banking knowledge preferred

  • Experience working with innovative and emerging technology and understanding of its current / potential impact on the traditional banking space.

  • Experience crafting and executing on product strategy and commercialization.

  • Seasoned leadership and management skills.
