The partnership includes a grab and go concept with a variety of fresh food offerings and a full quick service restaurant. With the opportunity of serving up to 10,000 guests 363 days a year, Legends has created a culture of fast and friendly service at the Intrepid.


The Concessions Prep Cook position is responsible for the preparation and cooking of the menu within a given stand/kiosk for Legends Hospitality at the Intrepid: Sea, Air & Space Museum.

  • Set up allocated stations for menu, as instructed by Kitchen Manager

  • Inventory product and prepare it according to management and health guidelines

  • Responsible for cleaning the equipment and cooking area

  • Perform duties as required to accomplish delivery of concessions/premium menus

  • Maintain a prepared and sanitary work area at all times

  • Make sure all storage areas are tidy and all products are stored appropriately

  • Serve menu items compliant with established standards

  • Requires basic cooking experience and willingness to learn

  • Maintain a professional attitude and appearance


  • Must be at least 18 years old

  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs

  • Ability to walk, reach, stand, bend for long periods of time

  • Able to operate kitchen equipment in a safe manner

  • Able to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)

  • Able to work under pressure

  • Effective interpersonal and verbal communication skills

  • Team Player

  • NY Food Safety Certification a plus

  • Practice safe work habits, follow all safety policies and procedures and regulations; complete Company-wide safety training and additional job specific safety training
