SUMMER 2023 PRESIDENTIAL ASSOCIATE INTERNSHIP PROGRAM (ALL TRACKS)

The Summer 2023 Presidential Associate (PA) Internship Program is part of the CEO Global Presidential Program. The full-time Presidential Associate Program is an intensive, 18-month rotational program specially designed for recent graduates with a Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS). This program integrates customized professional rotations, continuous leadership development, coaching, mentoring, hands-on practical experience, group networking opportunities, and strategic thinking initiatives to optimize talent and build business acumen and capability. It capitalizes on the participants' creativity, learning agility and innovation to create bespoke, high-touch experiences that will accelerate career growth.

The Estée Lauder Companies offers graduates students the opportunity to participate in the Summer Presidential Associate Internship Program between their junior and senior years of college. The 10-week Summer Internship Program offers participants an opportunity to work in one critical area of the business under the guidance and sponsorship of a key executive.

The CEO Global Presidential Program Tracks:

The program tracks are linked to the strategic focus of the business and are subject to change based on business needs. Specific opportunities will also vary by region.

Marketing

The Marketing track provides PAs with exposure in the key areas of consumer, product, and digital marketing. The Marketing PA will have the opportunity to interact with senior executives within our powerhouse of brands and functions. Participants will also gain exposure to the global marketing strategy of the organization and how it is implemented throughout the regions and affiliates around the world. They will be given challenging projects and will have the opportunity to collaborate with cross-functional partners i.e., Product Development, Creative, Finance, Demand Planning or Global Brand Supply Chain. The Marketing PA will gain a comprehensive understanding of ELC brand marketing calendars and learn to master the art of conducting business and competitive analysis.

  • Global Consumer Insights, MAC Cosmetics

Online

The Online track focuses on the increasingly important role of e/m-commerce and digital innovation in today’s retail landscape. The Online PA will be exposed to various functions within our Online division with a focus on e-commerce, merchandising analytics, and omnichannel initiatives while being a part of a fast-growing area of the business.

Human Resources

The Human Resources track promotes a focus on the strategic priorities within the Centers of Excellence in Global Human Resources. The Human Resources PA will be assigned challenging projects and well-rounded experiences that will provide them the opportunity to be strategic business partners, working with all levels of management. The Human Resources PA will work on projects related to ELC’s objective of attracting, hiring, retaining, and developing top talent.

Global Supply Chain

The Global Supply Chain track focuses on areas including manufacturing, planning, sourcing, and distribution. The Global Supply Chain PA will gain exposure to strategic sourcing, tactical purchasing, logistics, supplier quality, global planning, production scheduling, all with a sustainability lens.

Data Analytics

The Data Analytics track focuses on the evolving role of data insights and analytics in our consumer growth and marketing strategies. The Data Analytics PA will be offered various technically challenging roles in our Enterprise Marketing division with a focus on data science, data analytics and customer relationship management. These roles will represent a cross section of global and regional perspectives.

  • Global Digital Marketing & Partnerships

Creative / Design

The Creative / Design track focuses on the growing importance of the creative skillsets in the areas of visual merchandising, store design, package design, and digital asset creation. The Creative / Design PA will be exposed to different areas of the business such as in-store merchandising, in-store collateral, special events, windows, merchandising units, design development and execution in different brands and functions at The Estée Lauder Companies.

  • Visual Merchandising, Tom Ford Beauty

  • Experiential Design, MAC Cosmetics

     The summer internship program offers participants: 

  • Challenging and engaging experiences within critical business functions, working under the guidance and sponsorship of a key executive, while contributing as a functioning member of a team. 

  • A suite of activities ranging from senior management presentations to professional development programs. 

  • Corporate business overview with William P. Lauder, Executive Chairman, or Fabrizio Freda, President and Chief Executive Officer. 

  • Program leaders committed to the development of each summer intern—as a member of this program, you will develop the skills and experience needed to accelerate your career  

       

Qualifications:

  • A rising senior at the undergraduate level

  • Relevant internship or work experience

  • Demonstrated record of achievement as well as strong interpersonal skills and leadership skills

  • Global exposure/study abroad is a plus

     Work Authorization 

  • Please note the Presidential Associate Program does not offer sponsorship  

  • We require US work authorization, without restriction, for all PA candidates

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $22.00 to $22.00. Exact hourly rate depends on several factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Hourly range may vary based on geographic location. In addition to hourly rate, this position may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
