Part of the Product Marketing team for Mailchimp, the Sales Enablement Team is seeking a seasoned individual contributor with strong strategic skills, seamless cross-functional partnerships and executive-level influence, inspiring data-driven customer (seller) empathy and a bent for speed in action and results.

As the Mailchimp Principal Marketing Manager for Sales Enablement, you will partner cross-functionally, in particular with Sales leaders to develop impactful sales enablement programs in service of Sales-assisted revenue performance and drive business growth.

What you'll bring

  • 10+ years of business experience leading marketing strategy development and cross-functional execution

  • Marketing software experience preferred

  • Best in class Sales and channel enablement and messaging craft

  • Proven ability to leverage contemporary and innovative sales / sales enablement tools like Seismic and Gong

  • Experience working with a Global Sales team with specialized functions and needs like Inbound, Outbound, and across geographical areas

  • Strong influencing and communications skills across all levels up to executive

  • Experience using sellers/customers insights and data to inform the development of winning Sales enablement strategy and translating it into actionable plans

  • Ability to prioritize and make strategic choices, specifically narrowing from a range of opportunities to highest-impact levers, balancing short and long term business outcomes

  • Ability to identify big insights by synthesizing inputs from multiple data sources to unlock growth opportunities and developing the business cases and activation plans to support

  • Strong creative problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Excellent verbal, written, visual/presentation and interpersonal communication skills; storyteller

  • Detail-oriented, sweating the details to deliver awesome

  • Strong results orientation and decision making skills

  • BA/BS required or equivalent work experience, MBA preferred

  • Experience with small business a plus

How you will lead

  • As the Mailchimp Sales Enablement leader, you will partner cross-functionally, in particular with Sales leaders and teams to develop impactful sales enablement programs and manage a team to support driving Sales closer to their goals.

  • Strategize with the sales team to design and deliver comprehensive sales enablement Ensure the Sales team is well-equipped with the content and information needed to engage customers throughout the buying process.

  • Own the business outcomes and communicate regular updates to leadership through ongoing reporting

  • Help Sales leads and teams acquire relevant and current customer insights to guide the sales approach, including defining target customer profiles, determining benefit and differentiation, and developing sales assets.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Product Marketing, Global Education, Sales, Research, Marketing, Legal, etc. generate sales enablement collateral for internal and external This includes deliverables like battle cards, product sheets, and competitor comparisons for internal use, and white papers and webinars for external use.

  • Develop feedback loops with Sales leads and teams to gather essential insights and improve sales enablement collateral for future success. These feedback loops may involve analyzing win/loss data, monitoring sales conversations and calls, and more.
