Are you a seasoned content producer that loves learning, and is passionate about the craft of producing industry- leading commercial content? At Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab, Content Producers own all stages of actual asset production, from advertiser pitch phase through campaign live date. As a producer on the US Non-Endemic team, you will be responsible for creating custom programs for a multitude of advertisers within Entertainment, Hospitality, Financial Services, and Autos, where each production is one-of-a-kind. Internally, Producers are most closely aligned with Creative Directors, Copywriters, and Art Directors, although they are also in constant collaboration with Solutions Managers and at times, Design Technologists. Externally, Producers are responsible for identifying, vetting, hiring, and managing all 3P production vendors creating the deliverables.

Producers in Amazon’s Brand Innovation Lab (BIL) lead and own delivery and on-time, on-budget execution of video, audio, and static content, as well as VR, AR, and experiential activations. In this role, you will be responsible for determining the best, tailored production approach and the best production partners, to match the timeline and budget of each BIL production.

Key job responsibilities

  • Provide creative input and development across diverse groups, leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategy.

  • Production finance and legal oversight

*Plan production logistics and scope production deliverables on complex projects with a high degree of ambiguity.

  • Identify, vet, hire, and manage all 3P production vendors for any given production, regardless of scope and complexity.

  • Manage the entire production process through final delivery of assets: 3P production vendor bidding, pre-production (casting, location scouting, set designs, etc.), production (live action shoots, animation, CG development), and post-production (offline and online editing, scoring, sound mixing, etc.)

*Work with and understand AICP production guidelines and forms.

  • Work in partnership with Art Directors, Writers, and Creative Directors to execute against advertiser strategy in creating content which delivers a unique customer experience.

  • Make creative trade-off decisions between teams, clients, and end-customer needs at program level

  • Develop creative and operational execution plans/timelines for every program to ensure tight coordination.

*Work with legal, and clearance to ensure content is properly approved

*Understand talent contracts and related collective bargaining agreements.

*Strong understanding of Advertising Business Affairs and production impacts related to Business Affairs.

  • Work with, and be a part of the Amazon Ads Brand Innovation Lab, to streamline processes.

*Determine where to simplify or extend solutions for the best outcome.

  • Drive cohesion and influence cross-team collaboration between various stakeholders, both within Amazon and beyond — to successfully deliver on your productions.

Basic Qualifications

  • *Proven ability working with all levels of talent, from directors and actors, to costume design and editing staff

    • Process driven, organized, and with great attention to detail
    • On set problem-solving and creativity
    • Ability to handle multiple projects at once in a deadline-driven work environment
    • Strong collaborator, with a willingness to roll up sleeves and help other teams when needed
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Portfolio demonstrating functional expertise in Content Production.

Preferred Qualifications

    • Commercial production experience.
    • Segment, transmedia, or short form production experience.
    • Innovative and creative.
    • Experience with delivery of programs and assets to studios.
    • Experience with a variety of digital media workflows and production.
    • Experience with guilds and unions.
    • Grace under pressure, collaborative problem-solving ability.
    • Curiosity in or passion for interactive media and technology

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $113,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
