PVH Corp. Product Concept and The People's Place Program Collaborations Intern- Tommy Hilfiger in New York, New York
The PVH Summer Internship Program offers motivated students the opportunity to gain fashion industry experience, with a realistic preview of what it would be like to work at PVH and our iconic brands. This is a paid internship, and you will be provided with meaningful, challenging hands-on tasks, as well as exposure to various parts of our organization. We have a variety of internship opportunities available, supporting one of our brands such as Calvin Klein, Tommy Hilfiger, Van Heusen, IZOD, Arrow; or within one of our Corporate Functions. You will also attend various professional development workshops, industry learning sessions with senior leadership and have the opportunity to meet other interns across brands and functions.
Specifically, for Summer 2021, while we would like to have an in person Internship Program at our office locations, we may need to shift the Program to a virtual or a hybrid approach, pending directed health measures for our local associates. Throughout the recruiting process, we will do our best to share real-time updates on the decision, but interns must be available to work at the planned office location should we have the ability to have part of our Program in person.
The Summer 2021 Internship Program will be 10 weeks and run from June 1st – August 6th.
Here are important dates and expectations to keep in mind (estimated timeframe, subject to change):
We have a rolling application deadline for each internship, starting in February. Apply early for greater consideration in the process.
Initial screening will be conducted by our recruiting team members via phone or video screen.
If you are applying to a design or creative internship (fashion design/technical design/graphic design), please plan to provide 1-2 pages of sample work (such as an online portfolio, illustrations, flat sketches and/or 3D renderings) as a part of the recruiting process.
Final interviews will be conducted by our hiring teams via phone or video interview starting late February into early March.
Offers will be extended beginning in March and may carry into April, if necessary.
The Trend/Product Concept and People’s Place Program Intern internship is a position that will immerse you in two pivotal areas of the Tommy Hilfiger Organization with an opportunity to add meaningful contribution to the business. Through People's Place Program, the intern will support our work towards purpose-led collaborations that specifically increase BIPOC equity and visibility. In addition to product partnerships, the role will support the work under our two additional external collaborations: (i) Career Support & Industry Access and (ii) Industry Leadership. Each of these collaborations will also have the strategic focus of increasing BIPOC equity and visibility. The Trend/Product Concept portion of this role will support the Coordinator and SVP to bridge great product and innovation to compelling marketing and storytelling across each division under the TH umbrella. As a part of the team you will work to translate Market trends, innovations, and consumer insights, into compelling stories, themes, and new Product opportunities for the Brand. Time management, strong organizational skills, and managing cross-functional relationships are crucial to this position. The intern will play an integral role in supporting The Trend and Product Concepts Coordinator and SVP of Product Concepts and People’s Place Program.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
Assist SVP and coordinator with research on local & global trends.
Support the aggregation of consumer and cultural insights into macro themes.
Organize Seasonal Trend Decks and attend all consumer insight meetings.
Ensure deadlines and met at relevant dates and hits all critical milestones.
Partner with other researchers within the consumer insights community of practice to develop holistic and robust consumer insights.
Conduct additional market research online, as well as connectivity to Design, Concept and Marketing materials.
Partner with Coordinator to Collect Sales Reports Data from Merchant and Consumer Insight partners.
Connectivity to Innovation Pipeline and research.
Assist with researching and developing trend watch.
Provide all necessary collection information related to styles, colors and trends.
Assist with Partnership and Collaboration meetings including all deliverables, notes calendar management.
Styling support in terms of pulling looks in prep for shoots and returning looks to sample closet in collaboration with Stylist
Help build strategy and business case for new innovation ideas for upcoming seasons
Rising junior or senior undergrad student with a declared major in Fashion Business degree and or related study
Minimum 2.5 GPA in core major classes preferred
Experience / Skills
Previous relevant internship / work experience or demonstrated interest in the industry
Demonstrated academic leadership or extra-curricular activity preferred
Exceptional attention to detail

Passion in the digital and fashion industry
Highly organized, creative thinker and problem-solver
Excels in fast-pace, dynamic environments
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, and Word)
