Marketplace at Shutterstock is a multi-disciplinary craft, involving full funnel optimization as well as new product strategy and innovation. We are focused on building digital experiences and offerings that gratify users and drive key business outcomes.
We are on a mission to grow our business exponentially. This means understanding what each visitor needs and how we can answer that need in a concise and compelling way for each user. We need a growth-minded and creative product manager with eCommerce experience to identify areas of opportunity and collaborate on strategies for conversion improvement.
This person will use their deep understanding of current and prospective customers to evolve our experience, focusing on conversions and providing a seamless user experience. That means you need to be testing, gathering, and analyzing data, and continuously applying your learnings to improve the site.
The day to day:
Develop understanding and empathy of user needs, and find a fast route to meeting those needs.
Collaborate with colleagues across the entire company including other product teams, marketing, sales, finance, legal, and the executive team to develop holistic customer experiences
Use qualitative and quantitative data to identify areas of improvement within conversion funnels.
Establish requirements based on market trends, analytics, and researched customer needs.
Define and prioritize user stories and run the Agile planning and backlogs for your team
Manage stakeholders in product, marketing, and technology.
Work closely with senior product managers and directors to develop the product roadmap for Conversion.
Help own and manage the engineering team's backlog, defining acceptance criteria and prioritizing user stories, while partnering with the engineering manager to set sprint goals and reviews.
Extensively post GIFs and emojis throughout Slack channels.
What you bring to the role:
You have two or more years experience of product ownership or product management.
You have experience conducting A/B tests on many aspects of eCommerce platform functionality and user experience
You have eCommerce product management experience
You are intrinsically motivated to learn and grow in an innovative technology team.
You have experience optimizing checkout funnels and user journeys
You have a bias toward data-driven decision making
You have experience building a product roadmap and working with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver measurable impact.
You have strong verbal communication and presentation skills
You have a deep attention to detail and desire to collaborate on testing strategy and new processes for efficiency.
You are great at quickly building consensus.
