What we do:

The Data and Statistics Function (D&S) of Research and Statistics Group (RSG) takes in regulatory reports and other data filings, including economic surveys made by banks, financial institutions and other corporations and analyzes these reports to be sure the information in them is correct. We ensure the information that is reported by the institutions matches the Bank’s request and the actual numbers submitted by these institutions are deemed "fit for use", i.e., the data set is complete and the data quality is appropriate for its intended purpose. Once those processes are complete, we pass the data on to the end-users, which includes Monetary Affairs, Markets, Supervision, Research and Treasury. Processing data of this complexity and scale requires sophisticated technology capabilities, that are adaptive to changes in the market and regulation. D&S Product Owners manage SDLC of these products from initiation to retirement.

The Data and Statistics Product Team is responsible for collaborating with our business counterparts and stakeholders on Technology solutions that advance the Function Mission and Objectives. The Enterprise Collections Platform (ECP) Vision is to enable the delivery of actionable insights to our stakeholders through the collection, analytics and dissemination of timely, fit-for-use data.

Your role as a Product Owner – Enterprise Collections Platform:

Product Strategy and Vision

  • Defines and communicates clear product vision and roadmaps with measurable outcomes that are aligned with business objectives. Works with technology partners to ensure integration to the Bank technology roadmap. Drives alignment with product and business interdependencies in the Bank.

  • Designs and integrates usability studies and research into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction; ensures customer driven design.

  • Works within delivery squad/s to design and deliver new or complex products and capabilities.

Product Management

  • Define and prioritize product requirements based on customer and Bank needs, trends and business objectives.

  • Manage the backlog and ensure continuous flow of user stories for the development team.

  • Partner with support teams when required and orchestrate change management and communications efforts to facilitate business and customer rollout and adoption of new capabilities.

Stakeholder Management

  • Effectively communicate Product plans, roadmaps, and progress to internal stakeholders and leadership.

  • Represent the voice of the customer and advocate for their needs throughout the product lifecycle.

Agile Practices

  • Partner with Scrum Master and technical teams to participate in agile ceremonies (standups, sprint demos, retrospectives, sprint planning, backlog refinement).

  • Continually improve processes and tool to enhance team productivity and product quality.

  • Promotes agile behaviors within business areas to accelerate the transition to the new operating model.

What we are looking for:

  • Product leadership experience in data collection and data management, data quality and analytics and business process management in customer-facing products and services.

  • Subject matter expertise in data management and data analytics including experience with applicable self-service data analytics and business rules tools.

  • Proven track record of successfully delivering complex software products and solutions.

  • Experience working in an Agile delivery model, preferably Certified Product Owner.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to prioritize and make decisions in a fast-paced environment

*Salary Range: $144200 - $190700 / year *
