Reporting to the Director, Client Delivery, the Production Manager, Sea is responsible for leading the production and project management of RWS produced onboard entertainment products for our cruise line client; ensuring each group holds the original artistic intention and integrity of each entertainment product. This position is also responsible for upholding the RWS and client brand standards and supporting the continued innovation and operational efficiency of client rehearsal operations.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Providing holistic production and project management for mainstage vocal, dance, and multi-venue musical entertainment products (workflow management, studio logistics, materials management, transportation logistics, talent onboarding support, etc)

  • Acting as the main production contact for the onboard team

  • Creating and coordinating rehearsal schedules and wardrobe fitting schedules

  • Actioning all rehearsal and onboard reports

  • Creating and sending embarkation advisories

  • Managing all changeover budgets

  • Handling all in studio and onboard product changeovers as assigned, assisting with studio needs as necessary (tape-outs, set-up, etc)

  • Attending / running onboard installs as needed

  • Documenting and updating all ‘show bibles’

  • Handling or delegating all day-to-day production needs

  • Supporting or leading maintenance/ set-up of studio gear including sound systems, IEM’s, backline, etc.

  • Providing talent communication and maintenance fleet-wide

  • Hosting talent welcome and travel meetings as assigned

  • Ensuring all internal and external stakeholders are following the policies set by the client delivery team

  • Traveling to ships as necessary

    Necessary Qualifications

  • A BFA/BA degree in Theatrical Production, Musical Production, or equivalent professional experience

  • 3+ years of experience in the entertainment industry working in theatre, performance venues, or live entertainment settings (ideally with specific experience on cruise ships)

  • A minimum of 2 years in a management position, preferably within an entertainment setting

  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be proficient in Excel and MS Office applications

  • A flexible schedule allowing for approximately 35% international travel

  • Motivation, dedication, passion, integrity, collaboration, and self-direction

    Additional Qualifications

    Ideal candidates may also have:

  • Musical-theater or Music Venue experience

  • Understanding of classical, rock/pop, and jazz music

  • Theatrical admin experience (stage management, production management, general management)

  • Cruise ship and/or Theme Park experience

    A valid passport for the duration of employment for all travel-related roles. Proof of vaccination against COVID-19 (or proof of exemption) will be required.
