Our team are the general managers of commercial and internal products. They sit at the intersection of the business, user experience, and the technology that solve our customer and end-user problems. They design, develop and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Product Management’s involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades, maintenance of the product or product line. For commercial products, it also includes commercialization, Go To Market planning, sales, and other key business support activities.

Intern positions are entry level and job seekers are traditionally either in their 3rd year or a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year or a 5 year program. Interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success with identifying and addressing client needs:

  • Understanding of the product development life-cycle framework;

  • Applying data and analytics to solve questions of business strategy for clients;

  • Creating competitive analyses for potential products, driving appropriate segmentation approaches, and developing preliminary business cases;

  • Communicating articulately via storyboards and slideware to all stakeholders;

  • Demonstrating knowledge of programming languages;

  • Assisting with gathering and analyzing product requirements and implementing product design approaches;

  • Working collaboratively on with cross-functional teams with a variety of technical and non-technical skill sets to build relationships and achieve results;

  • Having a flexible communication style based on the audience;

  • Working with or exposure to scripting and programming in one or more of the following languages: Python, Java, Node.js; and,

  • Working with or exposure to one or more of the following: sql/nosql databases, ML frameworks, software development environments and version control tools.
