Our team are the general managers of commercial and internal products. They sit at the intersection of the business, user experience, and the technology that solve our customer and end-user problems. They design, develop and manage activities for a specific product or group of products from product definition and planning through production, release, and end of life. Product Management’s involvement lasts throughout all stages of a product’s lifecycle including modifications, upgrades, maintenance of the product or product line. For commercial products, it also includes commercialization, Go To Market planning, sales, and other key business support activities.

Eligible students should be in the 3rd year of a 4 year degree program or in the 4th year of a 5 year program. Client service interns typically join us during the winter/spring or summer prior to their intended graduation year.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills :

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success in the following areas:

  • Communicating in an organized and knowledgeable manner in written and verbal formats;

  • Understanding of project management and interpersonal skills with a keen attention to detail, ability to multitask and work well under pressure;

  • Understanding and sincere empathy for end-users with a commitment to dive deep into the problems and pain points they present or experience;

  • Working with Product/Data Analytics Tools (e.g., PowerBi, Google Analytics, Alteryx, Azure Analytics, Azure Devops, Tableau, Pendo, Atlassian Suite - Confluence);

  • Understanding of the software development life-cycle framework;

  • Assisting with gathering and analyzing detailed product requirements and implementing product design approaches;

  • Working collaboratively on teams with a variety of technical and non-technical skill sets;

  • Working with or exposure through courses in one or more of the following areas: Data Structures, User Testing andQuality Assurance;

  • Algorithms and Database Systems;

  • Working with or exposure to scripting and programming in one or more of the following languages:

  • Python, Java, Node.js; and,

  • Working with or exposure to one or more of the following: sql/nosql databases, ML frameworks, software development environments and version control tools.
