Grow your administrative career as you support our Programs department to plan and execute our award winning continuing legal education programs. The Program Coordinator will support the needs of the Director, Programs and Director of Law School Relations/Administrative Director of Patent Office Exam Course in the preparation and presentation of continuing legal education (“CLE”) programs and the Patent Office Exam Course.

  • Maintains and updates portal database regularly, taking special care to ensure all program and faculty details are complete and correct. Appropriately tracks and updates information, communicating all changes to other departments, as needed.

  • Communicates effectively and efficiently with faculty (speakers), customers and internal PLI departments via phone and email in a timely manner, keeping Directors up to date on the status of ongoing projects Communication includes but is not limited to:

  • Preparing and sending standardized letters and correspondence

  • Requesting and tracking the receipt of all required forms and materials – e.g. releases, bios, Course Handbook materials, PowerPoint presentations, etc.

  • Tracking/updating contact and marketing listing information

  • Assisting with speakers’ requests

  • Assists with pre-program preparation and acts as the “face” of the program on the day of the live program; greets faculty and attendees at the registration desk and informs them of necessary information.

  • Reviews and edits marketing pieces, including brochures, flyers, letters, emails, annual report, and catalog copy.

  • Works with Directors to compile and submit annual Program Budgets.

  • Calculates speakers’ CLE (or other continuing professional education) credits.

  • Arranges promotional tours (four weeks/year) for Academic Director of Patent Office Exam Course.

  • Testing, maintenance, and support of online course, including efforts to help identify and stop unauthorized sharing of online course.

  • Uses Salesforce to keep track of our contacts at the law and engineering schools.

  • Other duties, as assigned.


  • A Bachelor’s degree and 2-5 years of administrative support experience.

  • The Program Coordinator must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills with a strong emphasis on customer service with faculty, internal staff and external customers.

  • Superb writing and editorial skills with impeccable attention to detail required.

  • Experience working with attorneys and/or high-profile executives is strongly preferred.

  • Superior knowledge and comfort with various software programs, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.

  • Must be a self-starter, capable of multi-tasking.

  • Prior experience organizing events or coordinating projects preferred.

  • Flexible, willing to travel 1-2 times per year, if needed. Available to support evening webinar series (24 evenings per year, all scheduled in advance).
