DESCRIPTION:

The Project Coordinator Intern for the Ricoh Education team will work onsite full-time at our K-12 school’s client locations. This individual is responsible for working closely with cross functional support teams and clients to manage project related while onsite. This this a full-time summer position lasting up to 12 weeks during the summer months and will involve using both technology and business skills in support of our client’s environment.

The ideal candidate has an interest in project management, exhibits excellent attention to detail and time management skills. In addition, we are looking for an individual who is positive, organized, and possesses strong interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work well within a team and independently.

An interest in technology would be helpful as there may be times required to assist engineers.

* This position will require 100% travel within one of the regions - Brooklyn, NY or Newark and Camden, NJ area depending on the workload, adequate transportation is a requirement, travel will not be reimbursed *

* Interns will be provided with required hardware to access Microsoft Office Suite, Google Apps, and the internet. *

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Coordinate project activities, equipment delivery/shipment, and data gathering.

  • Monitor and track project’s tasks and handle any issues that arise.

  • Ensure clients’ needs are met as the project evolves.

  • If needed, act as the point of contact and communicate project status adequately to all stakeholders.

  • Report and escalate to management as required

  • Work With Fellow Engineering interns on technical tasks when necessary. No technical expertise is required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • DETAIL-ORIENTED and RESULTS-DRIVEN.

  • Works with urgency and takes ownership of assigned duties to get done and done right.

  • Enthusiasm about working in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Excel and Google Sheets/Docs

  • Some experience with Microsoft Visio would be beneficial but not mandatory.

  • Some knowledge around project management.

LOCATIONS:

  • New York, NY

  • Newark and Camden, NJ

TIME PERIOD:

  • 12 week program

  • May – August

  • Business hours schedule

  • Up to 40 Hours a week typically, depending on work load

QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)

  • Student must be currently enrolled in an accredited college or university or recently graduated within one calendar year of the program deadline.

  • Students required to be enrolled or have received a degree in a related major in the department of interest and possess some former work or internship experience

  • Students must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Students are to successfully complete all required screenings prior to hire
