Project Manager
LOCATION
Hybrid - Remote/New York City, NY
OVERVIEW
The Project Manager independently applies extensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of assignments and related fields. The Project Manager is responsible for the management of several projects with complex features and the application of advanced techniques to complete assignments. This includes management of the client, design team, budgets, and project schedules beginning with the proposal phase and extending through the completion of construction.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Develops and approves scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
Prepares proposals to provide professional services for engineering projects or programs; reviews complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
Understands all required project deliverables and permitting requirements for the project; informs ownership and design team members at outset of the project to ensure all deliverables are provided on time and on budget.
Supervises all assisting staff necessary to complete assignments; assists senior management and staff as a technical advisor.
Provides support to junior staff throughout project design.
Develops new techniques and/or improved processes, materials, or products.
Consistently monitors and achieves project financial goals.
Maintaining client relationships, serving as the point of contact for their projects, and developing opportunities for further work.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited curriculum; Master's degree a plus.
Professional Engineer Registration and/or PMP Certification (strongly preferred)
Experience and/or familiarity with permitting regulations in New York City preferred.
Minimum of seven years experience.
Excellent attention to detail and technical written and verbal communication skills; public speaking and presentation experience preferred.
Able to thrive in a team-focused environment and engage in creative, critical thought; takes initiative and can function at a high level on multi-disciplinary teams.
