RBC U.S. Pathways QTS Program Description
RBC Capital Markets is committed to fostering workplace diversity. RBC Pathways aims to recognize and reward outstanding undergraduate students who are from traditionally underrepresented ethnic backgrounds (i.e. students of Black, African American, Hispanic, Latinx, and/or Native American descent), and who are passionate about pursuing a full-time career in finance through consecutive summer internship experiences, executive sponsorship and development opportunities.
RBC Pathways offers these individuals the opportunity to learn about the financial industry from industry experts and specifically, what it's like to work at RBC Capital Markets.
Talented college sophomores and juniors are provided with first-hand experience and the opportunity to participate in our premier ten-week paid summer internship program at our offices in: New York, NY; San Francisco, CA; Houston, TX; and Jersey City, NJ. Additionally, students are eligible to receive a $5,000 scholarship at the start of their first internship, and a $10,000 scholarship at the start of their second internship.
While working and learning alongside our experienced technical professionals, Summer Analysts are given responsibility over a key project delivery advancing our Capital Markets technology strategy. RBC Capital Markets Technology department promotes and innovative and colaberative work enviroment for Summer Analysts. Analysts will work in a project team setting with the guidance and support from RBC Capital Markets' lead architects and technologists to design, develop, and implement in-demand tools and services. Summer Analysts will also have dedicated sessions with business-aligned technology leads to develop their understanding of Technology's role in supporting RBC's clients through our trading activities, and providing exposure to the products and services offered by our Investment Bank. Additionally, the program includes planned events to network and get to know your colleagues across the Capital Markets space, outside of the workplace.

Please read the following eligibility requirements and application instructions carefully before submitting; incomplete applications will not be accepted.
You are an undergraduate student who is and will be enrolled full-time at a U.S. college or university
You have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher, and will graduate in December 2023 or Spring 2024
You identify as Black, African American, Hispanic, Latinx, and/or Native American
You are able to join us as a Summer Analyst the summer after your Sophomore year (June - August)
You are able to return the summer after your Junior year, providing performance feedback from Sophomore year summer is strong
Knowledge/experience and interest in one more of the following areas a plus:
Programming- Knowledge of Python, Java, C\#, C/C++ a plus for development assignments. Proficiency with an application framework such as .Net, J2EE. Middleware programming; Perl or/and Shell scripting.
Database- working knowledge of SQL and/or NoSQL Databases
Network Administration- Linux, Unix Administration
Financial Business Analysis- Strong financial acumen, ability to gather general business and technical requirements
Business Analysis- Requirements gathering and program managementApplication Requirements

Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis by a team of business leaders at RBC Capital Markets
Shortlisted applicants will complete a short virtual assessment; select applicants will advance to first round interviews; select first round candidates will advance to final round interviews\*
Successful candidates will join the 2022 Summer Internship Program; the $5,000 scholarship will be paid to each RBC Pathways Scholar at the start of their sophomore summer internship; the remaining $10,000 scholarship will be paid to each RBC Pathways Scholar at the start of their junior summer internship
\*In 2021, we anticipate all interviews will be virtual; however, should we host in-person interviews, any pre-approved travel costs will be covered by RBC Capital MarketsRBC Resources
